POOOOH! How ya doing? Can you believe I have never been to the Dawa Bar at AK? That is on my "must do" list for our trip in Oct/Nov. Will you be there in the beginning of Nov? I will! :cool1:
Yes, Nov. 10-13th! For SSW! Dawa Bar is great, we watched the African entertainment group while we were there, great show! :thumbsup2 Get LOST on the Safari, you will feel LOST thats for sure! :rotfl:

Ahhh and WLL - thanks for the feedback about Bellevue! We will definitely be visiting. :sunny:

Aloha everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say hi!!!!

Tomorrow is Friday and it is a three day weekend!! Yay!!!!

We're spending the long weekend at Disney. Can someone recommend a good drink at MGM to escape from the Star Wars madness for a while?

Hmm, details are very hazy but we were in the ABC Comissionary area and they had a little stand where they were selling these ridiculously strong drinks (hence the hazyness) with those little glowing ice cubes. I wish I can help out more, but in the afternoon go through a stroll in that area and see if they're setup. If they are, whooooo boy!

I don't know about a specific drink, but my DH and I always spend a few hours in the Tune-in Lounge at the 50's Prime Time Diner. We've enjoyed the energy of the place, the bartenders have been there forever, and sometimes entertainment comes in off the street. The various punches are pretty good, if you like sweet. You get a glowing icecube - hubby and I had to drink 12 on one trip so that we could have a full set of the cubes!! :thumbsup2

The missus and I did a drinking fest on out honeymoon in 97. We stayed at the WL and started there, headed over to the contemp via boat, drank at a downstairs bar near the check in, we then we upstairs and had a drink in the bar near Chef Mickey overlooking the lake, then we went to the Polynesian and then to Epcot. From there well, it is fuzzy, but we did find some pictures from our dinner at the Rose and Crown Pub in England. I wonder what we ate?

Have fun!

The photos are fabulous - they fill me with envy! My husband has actually said that we don't need to go anywhere else in the world, since we can visit Epcot! :confused3

OMG...That is what *I* say all the time, and my DH is soooo annoyed by it! We have friends that recently went on safari in Africa, and I chime in like I know what they are talking about, except I am thinking of AK and AKL. :guilty:

Thanks for the pics, ahhhh, they are awesome, what a great trip. You two really know how to live it up!

Wheee there's a slight chance we'll be going to the world in August and if we do we'll be staying at WL. My fingers are crossed :)

The monorail has 4 stops. Three of the four have places with booze. One of the four is 99.9 percent dry -- there is only one place to get booze and its pretty hard to get in. (Plus, you probably wouldn't want to go there if you've been drinking heavily at the other 3.)

If you're talking about getting plastered, disney resorts are pretty expensive places to buy drinks, and if you're visibly drunk you can be refused admittance to the monorail.
define "visibly drunk". Sometimes i become invisible when I drink. Think that would be OK?

I become invisible when I drink too ... that's why I have to talk louder cause no one sees me. And smile more like the Cheshire Cat ... :teeth:

If only I would become invisible when the bar tab arrives ... not so lucky ... pay up before you head for the next stop ... "por favor, mantenganse allejado de la ..." OH FORGET IT ... just don't fall down and block the door, will you! :rotfl:

LOL...you and snwfk are funny! Welcome!

Hi Aidensmom! Nooooo...you can't meet ahhhh and Minnie before I do! No fair! :sad2:

OK, so we are going next year. Probably in early June or (ugh) July. I have a Lapu-Lapu jones!

We party our tails off at Disney. I usually only have a drink a couple of nights a week at home, but at Disney, we usually keep beer/wine/vodka, etc... in the room + drink beer/wine at the parks from lunch onwards everyday. MK days are when we "dry out" lol - since they don't sell alchohol there. We are going with a a couple of friends next week who have never been. Time to introduce them to a little thing I like to call the Epcot Shuffle - fastpass - 2-3 world showcase beer stops - ride - fastpass - repeat...
