Monorail Drink-A-Thon

Is the brewery still open? I sure hope so. I'm staying at the Dolphin on Saturday, August 27th through Sunday Sept 4. I'll be "alone" the first 4 days/night - so plan on doing a little bar hopping as a solo. I'm 40ish, and love to perch at the bar. Any info on the brewery or any other solo drinking tips would be appreciated. Thanks....

williejs, the brewery is still open. ahhhhh frequents the place quite often. I plan to visit it on my next trip. Other great places to perch at the bar are the Cali Grill, Tambu Lounge and Mizner's. I heard that Blue Zoo at the Dolphin has a cool bar too. Have fun and please post your lush report when you get back!

This is such a funny thread - I totally stumbled over you all through a search for something completely irrelevant to this and here I was reading page one, two, three - then I hit last and low an behold you all have been at this for 85 pages!!!

Man, I found my home in this thread!!!!

I think you all need one of these with your computers:

I am going to leave party favors for everyone on my way out - just wanted to stop and say hi sister lushes!!!!

Castlegazer - that is a great mouse, I need one of those at work! Did you actually read the whole thread in one sitting?

Aidensmom, too bad Castlegazer couldn't join us for our Monorail Drink-A-Thon on Sept. 30th.
(Hey, where's our drinky things???)

Um, yeah, yeah, that's the ticket, yeah, Um, I read every single page - yup! yesiree bob!

WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING????!!!! You all are funny, but, well, I have to earn a living here. ;)

I thought this was a good picture of what a monorail would look like after a drink-a-thon:

sorry if that photo didn't show up. Its of a lopsided look at a monorail car

here's another photo so that I don't leave here without giving you a good monorail photo:

My DH & I did a mini-Drink around the World last year - we split a drink/beer, etc. in each country! We've got to try the Monorail Drink-A-Thon! Maybe this year!!!

My Brother is going w/ us and he makes his own beer, so we're hoping to get by the brewery at the BW!!

Hey - I like the foofy tropical drinks and how they look. I just wish they didn't have the foofy fruit juice in them!! Me and a lot of juice don't get along. :p

Cheers!

WLL had a birthday? I didn't get the memo...:)

Happy belated, WLL!!

I love foofy drinks! The foofier the better! Put in lots of fun things for me to play with too! Ahh I'm such a girl!

Happy Happy Birthday WLL! :sunny: Sorry I am a bit late, but we just got home yesterday morning from a week in Alaska. :)

I have read all (or at least the vast majority) of posts on this thread and I've got to say that you all seem like a great group of characters.

We are planning a couple of trips to the world, but probably won't have any time for the monorail route. We will be down for the F&W Fest though, and I'm excited about that. Our DD(3) will be with us, so we are not going to spend too much time at Epcot. I'm also looking forward to the beer sampler at Big River because we usually go to the Big River in Chattanooga TN whenever we visit.

Have any of you gone to F&W with a pre-schooler? It will be a challenge to keep her entertained I'm sure. Maybe DW and I can take turns watching her this year. I'm thinking next year we may invite one of our siblings with us so that we can have a night or two out alone (how weird would that be?). Seems like forever since we've been out on a "date" lol.

There's plenty to keep your 3 y/o entertained at Epcot during F&WF!! They have a cute play area for the little ones - there's a maze, play area, and activities led by CM's. Also, each country has the Kidcot Fun Spots where your daughter can create a mask. The kids enjoy meeting other children at the little tables, plus the interaction with the CM's.

There are also many character meet & greets. The Character Caravan is so much fun; plus your daughter can meet characters at each of the countries. I know MK will always be the favorite for families with young children, but there's so much for all ages at Epcot!

Have a wonderful trip!!!

When are you going to the F&W fest? If you are going to be around on Sept. 30, several of us, as I am sure you have read, are doing our own little monorail drink-a-thon and would love for you to join us!

We aren't taking our son, who is 4, with us for our F&W trip, but we took him to Epcot just a couple of months ago and he really enjoyed it. Make sure you take your DD to the Crush (the turtle from Finding Nemo) show in the Living Seas pavillion. It is excellent for kids that age.

Good News! I've convinced DH to stay the rest of the week for my bday trip, but we're moving to Universal. So, we check in 9/24 at SSR and leave on 9/29 and then go for 3 nights to RPR. Now, all I have to do is convince him to drive to WDW on 9/30 for the lush meet!
