I would be livid if I booked a monorail resort for this timeframe.

I was livid when I was staying at the Poly on the first night they cut back on the monorail hours and directed me towards the buses at EPCOT. After voicing my comments, they really didn't seem to care. I picked a monorail resort for the monorail transportation and couldn't use it half the time. It seems to be a problem that is just getting worse as time goes on.

I agree when the Monorail's do breakdown it is very frustrating and I personally experienced that happening. Plus ever since I started staying at the Boardwalk Inn I honestly don't miss having the Resort Monorail access when I would stay at the Contemporary, because I would hope that nothing goes wrong whenever I got on one.And this is why we refuse to pay the prices of the monorail resorts. We find the monorail overrated...it's always sitting in traffic, breaking down or something. We prefer to have a car and drive to the parks.
I am LIVID!!! We're paying full price to stay at the Grand Floridian in 3 weeks. Staying for 12 nights. We have young kids and the whole point of this extravagance was the monorail. My DH is going to hit the roof!!!

If your not booked with a discount I think it would be pretty easy to switch resorts. The epcot resorts are pretty nice.
We're already paid in full, so I don't want to pay a penalty on top of all of this. Thanks for the suggestion, though. We've stayed at the BC, but wanted a monorail resort this time.

The penalty is typically only $50 ~ and it's doubtful that they would penalize you given the situation. You'd probably end up getting money back by switching to an Epcot resort...instead of just being angry about.![]()
