Monorail closed

I was just wondering what time the monorail closed at night. The last 2 December trips we made we stayed in magic kingdom after late night extra magic hours were over. When we left the park the monorail was closed and we had to walk over to the contemporary. This time we will be there at the end of September and plan to stay again in Magic Kingdom again but that walk back just seems so long after a long night in the park.

You can eyeball the current hours and those leading up to your trip to get a sense of what they are likely to be when you are there.
