Monorail Closed early september

Just called disney to find some pricing info for the first week of September, they let me know the monorail would be closed from the 4th through approximately the 20th, just thought some may like to know.

That is good info to know...When we go to DL, it is usually within that time frame...Anyone know if this will be a yearly thing?

According to Ride Refurbs, the Monorail closes in September and doesn't reopen until May 2007.

It has something to do with the building of the new Finding Nemo attraction.

They are renovating and/or rebuilding the monorail station as it runs over the top of the queue of the Submarine attraction which is being redone and hopefully extended a bit as the lines will probably be long. I have also read that at the same time they will be remaking the entrance to DCA and that the golden Gate Bridge will be comming down while the monorail is out of commission.

The lady said it would be back up on sept 20th i believe, maybe this is only for a shortwhile, or maybe she's just wrong. Its no big deal to me as the monorail is not a must do or anything, so either way its ok.

Im disapointed to hear the golden gate bridge is coming down, that was a very nice and well done piece of the track.
