Monorail Break???

As a good alternative to leaving Epcot (mom & dad's favorite, kids' least fav) how about a mid-afternoon break by riding the monorail? Does the monorail leave right within Epcot, and if we got on, could we ride until it got back to Epcot? If so, how long of a ride would it be?

This may be a good compromise to leaving.

Hi ~ We did the same thing, but from MK/TTC/Epcot back to TTC just for a little break and to experience the monorail from MK to Epcot and back. We took the monorail from MK to TTC, changed to the Epcot monorail. The monorail went thru a forest and when arriving at Epcot went around Spaceship Earth, nice and slow. The monorail stopped outside the Epcot entrance for folks getting on and off. We stayed on and went back to the TTC where our car was parked. If you want to ride the monorail to TTC from Epcot, you will have to leave Epcot to board the monorail. It will take you to TTC, takes 7 - 8 minutes. S
