From Epcot to MK, no, you won't have to go through security again.

The only exception would be if you get off at any of the monorail resorts or go outside the TTC security bubble.

But for a straight Epcot to TTC, TTC to MK (via Resort Monorail, Express Monorail, or Ferry) trip, you will have not gone "outside" the security bubble since your initial screening at Epcot earlier that day.

@GADisneyDad14 is right. Just did this a few times last week. Oddly enough - the opposite is not true - when taking the monorail from MK to Epcot, you do have to go through security at Epcot.

No, the entrance to the Monorail is inside the secure area now that they have moved security for MK. But the Epcot Monorail exit routes you such that you get dumped outside the secure area at Epcot and have to go back through. The opposite is true for Epcot to MK. The Epcot Monorail entrance is inside the secure area, the transfer from Epcot Monorail to MK Monorail is inside the TTC secure area, and the MK Monorail exit is inside the MK secure area.

MK security is right after you get off the tram from the parking lot. So you’ll go through security then go to the monorail

Yep, that’s exactly how it works.

Yes. There’s metal detectors and security working at each resort. So when you want to leave via monorail or boat, you’ll go through security.

We just got back and stayed at BLT, one night we had dinner at Jiko, took the bus to MK, we wanted to walk back to the resort via the walk way from MK To BLT it was very late and we were very tired, they made us go through security just to walk back to our room.

You have to go through security to get from MK to CR/BLT?? I knew you had to in order to get from the resort to the theme park, but I didn’t realize the inverse was also true. That seems nuts.

Edit: or are you saying you had to go through security when you got off the bus? If so, yes, that’s the case. Everyone entering the MK entrance plaza has to go through security. They don’t care where you’re going after that.

That is correct, for the resort launches they are on the docks when you arrive at the MK.

Yes you get screened once you get off the boats and are at MK.

Monorail is right as you leave the resort

I haven’t heard of security walking between resorts. Almost two weeks ago wife and I left MK via boat to GF, checked out the gingerbread house and lobby, walked through the Polynesian, then to the TTC and hopped on the tram to the parking lot. Didn’t have to go through any security after the initial security to enter MK

Screening for buses arriving at MK is now just after you get off of them and before you get to the walkway to CR/BLT. In order to still keep it secure and not screen you a person would have to physically walk with you until you were past the walkway screening coming from CR/BLT. It's set up with the thought that people arriving via boat, bus or monorail are going to MK not for the few that will use it to walk over to CR/BLT. Just the way it is now.

So can you clarify where you had to go through security? Was it only after you got off the bus, or did you have to go through twice (after you got off the bus AND then again on the pathway between MK and CR)?
