Can anyone tell me if the monorail and boat between resorts if free of charge? Do you have to have some sort of Disney ticket or proof of staying on site?

Thanks

Tracy

There are no charges for riding buses, monorails or boats at WDW. You are supposed to have park passes, but no one asks to see them. Just hop on board and have a terrific time.

Between resorts, they have checked for resort room keys during peak times (like right after a park closes), but the last time they checked me was about fifteen years ago.

I would guess that 15 years ago sounds about right because on my recent trips to WDW when staying at the Contemporary or Polynesian and leaving the Magic Kingdom when they closed, the Cast Members never asked to see our KTTW card before getting on the Resort Monorail.

My last 2 visits I stayed on site and used the Disney Transportation exclusively. Nobody ever checked my tickets or asked if I stayed at the resort.
