Hi Monica,

I am just checking in to see how your weekend was. I hope all is well.

~Kim

Wow I'm being checked on. I feel so important.

Kim and Amy did I ever tell you how AWESOME you two are?

I did pretty good. I was just so consumed with homework. Final projects and a traveling DH. Makes for one crazy lady over here. My kids are probably wondering what happened to their mama.

I did see some wondering looks over the weekend and I'm not saying why.

Does anyone know how hard it is to type with a baby sitting on their lap.

OY!

I made a bunch of my shish kabobs today just to have handy.

Plus we did a MAJOR grocery store purchase yesterday to have lots of healthy food to eat.

SOME baby is making me crazy, keeps grabbing the mouse and messing me up. She is relentless!

Wonder where she gets that from?:rolleyes1

Good to hear from you ,Monica.:goodvibes I know exactly how hard it is to type with a baby.My "baby" is almost too big to see over now and constantly yells for me to "go back" because she has seen a picture in a siggie or post that she wants to see.

Has your grocery bill gone up since you started buying more healthy stuff?

Yes, why is healthy so expensive? No wonder we have a world full of overweight people.

I am GOING to have a garden this year.

Good Morning!

I am so impressed that you are able to juggle a super intense curriculum at school and being a mom. I would be hopped up on coffee all day long.

I have given up even trying to get on the computer when I am home because the 3yo and 2yo are always trying to help. :scared: That is one of the reasons the weekends are harder for me. I can't get to the Dis for support.

I think the garden is a great idea! Your kids will love helping and it is nice knowing exactly what you are eating. We did it last year. I bought this

http://www.gardeners.com/Grow%20Bed%20and%20Tomato%20Ladder%20Savings%20Kit/VegetableGardening_RaisedBeds,35-885,default,cp.html

and it worked great. We grew tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. I just stuck it in a sunny part of the yard, filled it with really good soil and once the plants were in they just took off. It was a fun project and we are going to do it again this year.

Have a great day today!

Here I was thinking, I don't want to dig up my yard again. I was gonna take rubbermaid containers and fill them with dirt and try to grow a garden that way. We have a huge deck and around it is small stone and I could place the containers on the side of the privacy fence so they aren't noticeable.

Thanks for the link, that might be what I need.

Morning.

So inspite of a simi mini rough start I still managed to lose weight.

But I got my head in the game for real, and I'm back in!

My scale said 249.2 this morning. Which made me smile and was huge motivation to keep on going.

DH asked if I wanted him to pick me up something for lunch and I said, "No! I'm on a diet and I'm not about to mess it up."

Got my peeps braclet on and it's working.

So, I am almost to my original 19 pounds lost. I am at 16.3 pounds lost. Just 2.7 to go. Maybe by Friday I can be there and then some.

My goal for this week is to lose at least 2.7 pounds AND walk at least 3 days.

I am sticking to my South Beach ways and getting at least 8 glasses a water per day.

Great JOB. Monica!!!!! :cheer2:

Wendy: Thanks girlfriend! You are doing so great too. To read about your successes makes me very happy.

I got a nice walk in yesterday. It's still nice out and I have another walk planned for today. DD got invited over to play at a friends. We will walk over there with her bike and then I will coninue on with my walking.

Funny thing is, they live behind us and it's a nice hike to actually get there by sidewalk.

We BBQ'd last night, ate on the deck, and then had a bonfire while listening to the Red Wings WIN!!!!!! Tigers too. It was a great night. The kids made smores and I had a glass of wine.

I feel like doing work outside, and that's always physical.

Have a great weekend everyone.

It is just so beautiful over here. I hope its nice where you are as well.

I had a very nice walk, so I have 2 of my 3 walks for the week in. I may up that to 4.

I went to Sam's club today and managed to dodge all the free sample ladies, except for one. But it was cheese and I can have that. I found I do not care too much for asiago cheese.

I did have a small salad before I left, I didn't have any chicken prepared, so it was meatless.

When we got back I had a small bowl of cereal. I need to drink some milk each day and I do allow myself 1-2 servings of bread/grain a day.

Oh and breakfast was some left over steak pieces from last night and 2 eggs.

I have had 7 glasses of water and I am having some cheese while dinner is cooking.

I am making bbq ribs, california blend veggies, and pineapple and watermelon. I used the pineapple juice in my marinade. Should be yummy.
