I am taking over as PTA treasurer. To make a long story short, the PTA owns a copy of Quickbooks, but it currently cannot be located. I want to switch to MoneyMinder (or PTAEZ) so that it is internet based to avoid this problem in the future. Unfortunately, the "accountant" that we have used in the past (from HR Block) doesn't want us to. I was sort of planning on doing our taxes myself since it appears MoneyMinder will do that.

My questions:
1. Is anyone familiar with MoneyMinder? Is it as user friendly as it appears?
2. Are taxes easy to file with MoneyMinder or do we really need to find (or purchase another copy) of Quickbooks so that we can continue to use the HR Block person who is familiar with us?
3. My first impression of PTAEZ isn't great, but has anyone used it? Thoughts?

Longtime (since 1996) Quickbooks Pro user.

Where are the financial records now? If the copy of Quickbooks is missing, is the backup (hope you have it) of the financials in the quickbooks format? If you really want an internet based software, Quickbooks has an internet version, then you could just transfer the backup if you have it. Taxes are super easy with Quickbooks, if set up and entered correctly. It's just a matter of transferring then checking your reports.

JMO I would not transfer. Others may have different opinions.
