Just for discussion. If the cost of the resort was not a factor, which resort (PBH, HRH, or RPR) would you pick for DH 39, DW 35, DD 10, and DS 7? When we stay at WDW we like the Beach Club, Boardwalk and Polynesian. Also, we like to hang out at the pool in the afternoons. In advance, THANKS for the input!!!
;) ;) ;)

I would choose PBH because the rooms are bigger and it feels the most isolated from the parks.

If money is not a problem, book a suite at PBH and ENJOY! Talk about AWESOME!

I think I had to think for maybe a half second on that one!! Money no object, it would be a suite at PORTOFINO BAY!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Well I'll be a dissenter here! I haven't stayed at Portofino, but I have stayed at HRH and we loved it. We went over one night to look at Portofino - and while it was beautiful it just seemed kind of dead to us and they closed the good beach pool at 8:00. Maybe it was the time we were there or something but I'd pick a suite at HRH if money was no object.

I would have to agree with Debbie about PB seeming kind of dead. We went over one time to check it out and eat an early dinner and thought the same thing.

I suppose that it depends what you are looking for. Like another poster recently said, if you want to get away from the activity try PB. If you want to be in the middle of the activity go for HRH. The park access from HRH can't be beat. We are trying RPH next month, but with the small rooms I probably wouldn't choose it if money were no object . My older kids (teen and preteen) think that HRH is very cool.

I also agree with Disney Debbie. We have stayed at all 3 hotels and our first choice is HRH, 2nd is PBH and third is RPR. PBH would have been first, but it really is so dead after 8 or so. We stayed there last April and found ourselves at HRH every evening and morning! All 3 hotels are wonderful, and I am glad that we have tried them all. But our hearts belong to HRH :D

Well, I've been to PBH when it's been very busy. It's just more spread out. There are three pools, more restaurants and lounges. I like to relax when on vacation. I don't like to fight for a pool chair or a seat at the bar. JMO

I've stayed at HRH and PBH and PBH would be my first choice. It has a very relaxing atmosphere, which I think is desirable after a busy day at the parks. Even when there are a lot of people there, you don't really notice it. Like the other poster said, you don't have to fight for a lounge chair. It is a very beautiful resort and the rooms are lovely. We had a deluxe pool view room with a terrace. If money is no object, I'd book a suite at PBH.

Ive stayed at all but the PBH which I am planning to do in May.
But to date my vote is with HRH right now.

Nothing is more dead than me and my son after 8pm! That's why I prefer vacation homes!

The Hard Rock is my close second but I worked at a rock station for 15 years so it felt way too familiar to me!
:teeth:

The Portofino, a deluxe room or suite...second choice would be a suite at Royal Pacific Resort. Both are very calm, relaxing after long days in the parks. They both have great restaurants, pools and outstanding employees.

Hard Rock is beautiful..but just way to noisy for my taste.

Hmmm...if money is no object...I would try all three of them!! Why just settle for one while you can stay at all three?!

I think the reasonable answer is PBH.

But if money is really no problem, then why not the Graceland Suite at HRH?
