Okay, sorry about the delay in posting the 2nd day, but I just re-upped the internet. Its $10/day, and I am laying here posting this from my bed with the cordless keyboard. I'm obviously an internet junkie! Okay, so yesterday my son and I split up from my husband and daughter, because they wanted to go on scary rides and we didn't. We enjoyed our continental breakfast in the lounge! Deliicious pastries of all kinds, strawberries, pineapple, honeydew and cantelope, bagels and regular and mango cream cheese (very tasty) garnished with blueberries and swirls of cream cheees on top! Very elegant. Apple and some orange juice/tropical drinks, teas, coffee, water, milk, cold cereal. Great start to the day. Anyway, back to the parks...son and I went to Dr. Suess land and rode the Cat in the Hat twice, Caro-suessel twice, red fish blue fish. Also went to the Jurrasic (sp?) Park and ran (and huffed and puffed) up the cave like play land area, lost him for a short while and was panicking silently, finally I realized we were both proably running around looking for each other so I stayed still below near the exit and lo and behold he found me!! Feeling relieved, we headed to Mythos for lunch to meet up with the braver ones in the family. We had a great lunch, the shrimp sushi appetizers (very tasty, beautiful presentation on plate) and I had a chicken bbq wrap that was tasty too. Hubby had an okay cheeseburger, kids had the pepperoni and cheese pizzas. It was over $60 with drinks. The atmosphere was excellent. You are eating in a cave, for gosh sakes!! We came back and napped (the kids and I) while hubby returned to the parks to ride his beloved Hulk and Dr. Doom's Fearfall. We had a nice long rest in our darkened and quiet tropical oasis! Later in the lounge, we had fresh crispy veggies, the main appetizer was a chicken dish with noodles and a fabulous pineapple salsa. It was a cold salad, but very tasty. The chips and guacamle and sour cream and salsa were out again too. Great as an early dinner. We ended up heading to Citywalk after swimming in the beautiful and tropically landscaped lagoon pool, and sitting in the hot tub for a whle, to ease our sore feet. Citywalk was a blast! We saw street performers; Diana Ross lookalike, stiltwalkers, a mime, BMX bikers, sax player, etc. FUN, FUN, FUN!! Wandered around and played a few arcade games, and headed back by the "celebration" boat to our hotel. That song plays over and over!! Just a note: This is a great time of year to be here! Hardly any people, especially in "our" lounge! Lots of times we are all by ourselves! Staff is GREAT! Very friendly and helpful. Anything we need, they are there. We also woke up to Spidey this morning for our wake up call....I got THE most perfect present from my husband last night! A card with an appointment for 3 packages at the Mandara Spa at Portofino Bay! I went to it today, I'll mention it in my next day report!! It was AWESoME!! You've got to go! Okay, I'll write more later, or tomorrow a.m.!! Goodnight!!
