Should we chose Monday 22nd or 23rd Tuesday October to visit DCA. We plan on only visiting DCA to go to Cars land. We arrive late on Sunday night from NewYork. We will be leaving to catch a plane home to Australia at 11pm on the Tuesday night and will be driving to LAX. This is a surprise visit for our son who loves cars after spending 4 weeks traveling including WDW. I had to convince hubbie for a quick visit before we fly home. We will be staying at the Doubletree suites which we have stayed at before and shopping on the day we donot do DCA.

Well, if you're eligible for early entry, then Monday would be a good day for you, as it's EE that day. If not, then maybe Tuesday, as you can try and get there early for regular opening.

We're there that week, so if you see us, say hi. ;)

I am tending to think the Tuesday might be a better idea but the only problem with that is we won't get to see the WOC as we will need to be at the airport. Will EE on Monday make a huge difference to the number of fast passes left for cars for people who arrive at normal opening time?

I don't know, haven't been to CL yet, but I would think a Monday in late Oct. during school hours, you'd be ok standing in line for RSR, if you can't get a FP for it? Use the single rider line, if needed? If so, I'd sleep in and head to DCA and plan to stay for WOC. The next day shop and drive to LAX.

They don't start distributing FB until regular opening. If you get there at rope drop you should be able to get one if you go there directly--even with EE. On another note, if you have never seen WOC it is definitely worth it.

Thanks so much for that piece of information that does make a difference. I thought that people who had EE could access to the fastpasses and by the time we got their they would be gone.

Well, the people who have EE can get in line for FPs ahead of you. And they will. When it first opened, enough of them would get in the FP line that the line would be an hour long, before the FPs even started being distributed at official park opening. That said, I agree with the PP who said that on a Monday in late October, you should be just fine.

Is this ride as much like Test Track as it looks? I'm not going to wait an hour for a FP for something unless it's really new and amazing.
