The Cast: Me 30 something total planner for holiday
DW 30 something likes a quiet life
DD 13 going on 21 total poser has an answer for everything
DS 10 nearly 11 loves soccer and winding us up
Today we had planned to do IOA not just our favourite rides I awoke about 7 am, rest of family where sound asleep so I got ready and went to the lounge for a coffee and to read the paper, at the weekends paper was Orlando Sentinel during week NY Times but someone was actually taking your paper if u left it out at your door past 8 am, well anyway I enjoyed some time at the lounge then got a refill went back to room loaded with cereal & pastries, managed to get them up and out for 9 we headed over to IOA we just walked as it was nice morning once in IOA we headed for Seuss landing we did all the attractions I was soaked with 1 fish 2 fish, we then had some photo ops with Grinch and Sam, both where great then kids played a game to win some beads by throwing fish toys into bucket, DS was not very good although DD did win some beads, we then headed over to the lost continent and rode Duelling Dragons Ice this time I dont think we ever did find the proper express line as there was never any staff to ask we only rode this twice in full trip due to fact it took to long to get on also actually thought Kraken was a lot better, although am sure front of row would have been great after that we let the kids ride the Unicorn we then met Merlin who we chatted to for 5 minutes and got some pics taken with him we then went to the Poseidon show wife and DD went to get a juice refill while they where gone the show went in so me and son did this ourselves I still like this show although admit once is good enough after that we met wife and DD outside not too impressed we had left them still after helping myself to some juice and looking very sorry I was forgiven so off we went to Sinbad show we sat in the splash zone in the centre big mistake I remembered the water from the stage so thought here should be safe enough and a good view of show forgot about water right next to my seat we where soaked, still really enjoyed this show we then went to the enchanted oak for lunch we shared 2 chicken & rib platters 1 juice refill $20.13 after discount after lunch we headed to Jurassic area we didnt do the river adventure due to fact still cold from show it was a little windy today as well so not water weather really we enjoyed the themeing though now DW had not shopped since Duelling Dragons and was showing signs of shaking etc so we headed into the Dino store 1 very nice top later ( her words) plus sweets and some jewellery we left the store it was now about 1.30 pm so we headed back to the hotel we gave super hero a miss as me and kids where intending to return later for the hulk we relaxed by the pool now because of those big palm trees and shape of building no wind so we enjoyed the pool and loungers about 4pm DW went for a nap she has a few health issues so staying onsite really helped her to relax me and kids headed over to IOA for Hulk and me for happy hour we spent about 90 min at the park and returned for 6.30 pm we all showered and changed as I had a PX online for HRC when we arrived at 7.30 pm for 8.00 pm seating we where just put in the PS Q which was just as long as normal Q not impressed y offer a service online only not too honour it our room key already got us in this line we waited about 45 minutes before getting a table (tip never go to anywhere on City Walk when parks just close wait an hour) now we where in two minds about trying the HRC as HRH didnt really impress but I wanted to try it so we did I ordered NY strip steak, DW had open sirloin sandwich, DD and DS had 2 kids spaghetti & meatballs 2 kids sodas incl in meal and two souvenir cocktails plus one refill 1 hot fudge brownie sundae 2 kids sundaes after discount $82.02 not too bad the restaurant was nice server quick, but here it comes when they brought the bill they had charged the kids for 2 adult sundaes not kids sundaes I pointed this out assuming it was an honest mistake, but no our server smugly informed me that I did not ask for 2 kids sundaes only 2 sundaes now he asked the kids what ice cream they wanted so I politely asked y would the kids be ordering from adult menu as on kids menus it offered the sundaes then I offered to speak to his supervisor to clear it up but wait no thats ok I will get them taken off he offered, what a helpful chap I still left him the 15 % tip as I know us brits have a reputation for not doing this too often but this trip I left at least 15-20% tip always I was beginning to think to myself Hard Rock just dont like me, ( by the way not one of family ate their desert as their eyes where bigger than their bellies and y cant u get fries with a nice juicy steak the garlic mashed potatoes where nice but I like fries but didnt want to commit some etiquette mistake by asking) we left and where going to go for a stroll but it was quite chilly now with the wind so we got the boat back to RPR it was about 9.45 pm now and people where in the pool!! Brrr really tough souls we headed to room but wait in gift shop they had ROTM t-shirts in we went none in my size no XL so no one got one as they all realised my offer to buy them all one and I do with out might not be too sincere we hoped that they have more in the park tomorrow we went to our room where I opened my nicely chilled bottle of white wine we watched TV and where asleep by 11.00 pm
