DH and I are going to Disney for our 22nd wedding anniversary - just the 2 of us! We are DVC members and will be staying for one full week. We only had enough points left for 5 nights at Kidani.

So we are looking for a place to stay for our last 2 nights. I've been doing research and the Mona Lisa Suite Resort in Celebration looks promising. Anyone been there? What are your thoughts?

I'd also be open to other suggestions. What I'm looking for is something sort of romantic - not overrun with kids (I know its Disney but we will be kid-less for this trip), big, comfy king size bed, breakfast included would be a plus and we'd like a nice pool as we both enjoy cooling off and we're going in June.

I'd like to stick to the $100-150/night rate. We will have a rental car, so any area of Orlando is good, although Celebration appeals to me just because I haven't been there and it seems like a beautiful, unique place.

While I have never stayed at Mona Lisa, I have attended an event there, and the resort is very nice. It is not very big, but has a nice little sit down area and a really nice pool area and the hotel is very close to everything.

Maybe it's because I live here, but I've found the location of the Mona Lisa less than ideal - 192 on one side, dried brown grass on the other with a view of the office buildings on Celebration Place. Nice pool though.

The hotel downtown, the Bohemian (formerly called the Celebration Hotel), faces the lake and preserves. But it's right downtown and I don't know if you would find it too noisy/busy. And it's probably out of your price range unless you get a deal.

Since you live in Celebration - any other places we shouldn't miss there - restaurants, shops, attractions? Thanks for your help!

Well, it's all good! I prefer the Town Tavern for meals - they have a large menu. And Columbia's - love the 1905 salad and the sangria. :lovestruc Imperium Wine Room is good too.

Weekends there are carriage rides. Other than that, it's nice to just sit in one of the rocking chairs by the lake.

You can check out the website for the downtown area for more info:
