My daughter is 5 and my son is 3. They both attend pre-school full time. My daughter has expressed an interest in playing soccer this coming year and she will start kindergarten in the fall. My son likes....cars.
My daughter is WAY into the Disney Princess stuff as well as My Little Pony and Barbie dolls. It's quite a change for me as I was (and still am to a certain extent) somewhat of a tom boy. I love her for helping me find my inner girlie girl. I think her best personality trait, by far, is her inborn sense of fairness and empathy. There isn't a selfish bone in her little body and she has taught me to think of others more often than I ever used to before. The down side to this is that she is very sensitive and prone to sadness over very little things. But we're working on that.
My son is the definition of a mama's boy. His sun rises and sets on me. I love him for loving me so much. It's a unique kind of love that only mothers of mama's boys can know. I know I will have to help him grow out of it eventually, but for now, I'm loving every second of it. I think my son;s best personality trait is his ability to find the bright side of everything. He is perpetually happy and his laughter fills the room. The down side to that is that sometimes he's too silly, he's hard to "wrangle" sometimes when it isn;t time to play. But we're getting better at that as well.
