Morning all,

I go for my last 2 week appointment tomorrow, I am 36 weeks .
I start my internal exams and have my strep test. I can't believe I am at the weekly visit point already too. I have the rest of my visits already scheduled.

I am ready for my little girl to get here. I just can't do anything lately with out having a weak spell. DH & DM no longer want me going out shopping alone. I still have things to do to get ready, just have to take it slow I guess.

DM gave me a new bathrobe yesterday for the hospital and I picked up some toiletries. I do have a couple of things in my hospital bags.

Another night in L&D. This is getting old. I am sick of looking at the discharge papers that say "Discharged with: No babies."

Had a gallbladder attack that started about 7pm. By 8pm, I was crying.. I couldn't take it anymore and took a Tylenol 3. 10pm and still no relief, pain was worse. Called the on-call OB at 11pm and basically said "I'm not going in if I'm just going to lay there hooked up to monitors, I can be miserable here." She laughed and promised she'd order me some pain medicine if I wanted to go in.

Went in, same nurse as Sunday night. Very familiar with my case, etc., didn't even bother checking me because she said "I'm familiar with your cervix and it's going to take stronger contractions than what you're having to do anything down there."
So Lucas' heartrate was too low to give me anything--- he's steadily been 150-160 and it barely raised above the low 130's last night. Made me eat a cup of ice, shook my tummy, drink a glass of ice cold water as quickly as possible, etc. to get his heart rate up. Nothing. So I had to sit there for an hour waiting on his heartrate to go up for at least 15 seconds.

Finally, after an hour and a half, they gave me a shot of demerol. It took the edge off and they wanted to admit me but I begged like there was no tomorrow to come home and they let me. Had to sleep propped on one side with body pillows holding me in place so I wouldn't fall back on my back *excruciating pain, even with the demerol*

The on-call told me to call my OB this morning because she might just go ahead and take me now to prevent the gallbladder attacks. L&D nurse suggested I not mention this to my OB because it's a bit of a slap in the face, like my OB isn't taking good enough care of me or isn't concerned about my pain. I think L&D nurse is right. I haven't really had a chance to talk to my OB since things got really, really bad and I see her tomorrow morning so I'm crossing my fingers I'm OK tonight.... we shall see what happens tomorrow, though!!!!! DH is being great about things but I can tell he's frustrated that I've been in L&D three times now and they know what is wrong but aren't helping me... it's disrupting his beauty sleep

Patsy, ...ughhhhhhhhhhhhh, sorry about your night!
I hope you find a comfortable position and get some rest. You are going to be delivering that little boy before you know it and need it.

Thats what I keep saying to DH.... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's got chubby cheeks and feet that I can't wait to tickle.

Going off of how things have progressed this last week (as in, barely no cervical change) my OB will prolly put me in June 2nd to get the drugs that soften the cervix, in prepration for the morning of the 3rd.

So that is 6 more nights at home.... 7 at the max. So only 6/7 nights to avoid gallbladder attacks. It makes it easier if I think of it like that.

Piecey- You need to sit back and relax. DO NOTHING AT ALL TODAY. Hopefully you will be able to get a good nights rest so you can see your OB in the morning.

Wow, two week appointments now! Another milestone which means I will be following shortly. I guess after my next appointment I'll have two week appointments as well. It's really getting close!

Thanks! I really think it's all about what the baby needs...the weight thing this month was definitely not much of me doing anything special...I have been walking a lot and am not drinking almost only water and milk--which I'm sure helps, but I haven't done much else...more fresh veggies now that the farmer's markets have opened...

When do you start two week appointments where you are?? We start them after 28 weeks where I go - so I'd go at 24, 28 and then 30. . . OMG - I just realized I just had my 20 week appt - so I only have two more 4 weeks appts! EEK! Though it still feels October is forever away!

I think I was supposed to start at 30 weeks, but this appointment fell at 31, so now I'll go 33, 35 and then weekly... The nice thing is that after this next appointment DH can come with since he'll be out of school.

I spent most of yesterday in L&D, left and had lunch with DH, came home and watched TV, took a nap.. woke up and had a gallbladder attack. I can't control them by just taking it easy, it seems.

My dad is coming to get me here in a half hour to drive me to my office so I can turn in my keys. I don't like the idea of having keys to the bank for the next 3 months, even if I'm allowed to since I'm still an employee. Too much risk if something happened at the bank and too great a chance of me losing them.

Other than that, here I sit. Super exciting!

Did anyone check out VistaPrint? Did you guys find anything you like? I'm loving their prices!

The nice thing is that after this next appointment DH can come with since he'll be out of school.

I have the reverse situation going to happen. My DH has been to every appointment so far for both my DS and this baby...but he starts a new job next Monday and won't be able to go to my last four.

I was just looking at shutterfly...I forgot that I got a $20 gift card for them when I registered at Target. I just wish it wasn't all pink!! Looking at VistaPrint now...

I have the reverse situation going to happen. My DH has been to every appointment so far for both my DS and this baby...but he starts a new job next Monday and won't be able to go to my last four.

Patsy-I kinda hope they do induce you sooner because it sounds like you are just going to keep having problems and its probably best for both you and the baby if they induce a little sooner.

Well girls, I think I lost my M Plug last night! But I keep thinking "please don't come before June 6th" which is when my mom gets here. I need to call my doc and let them know that I think I passed it. I haven't had regular contractions or anything, just my same ole BH's! But I had a hard time sleeping last night because it stayed on my mind. On another note, I got the call from my doc yesterday that my followup 1 hour blood fasting test came back normal! YEAH!!! So DH brought me some ice cream last night since I came back negative for GD!

Patsy-I kinda hope they do induce you sooner because it sounds like you are just going to keep having problems and its probably best for both you and the baby if they induce a little sooner.

I think VistaPrint is who I will end up going with. I want to wait until I pick pictures to get my heart set, though. Different designs will go better with different pictures, but I like the idea of being able to put more than one picture on it, too. One of toes, for sure. I'm obsessed with little Lucas' toes and feet and I haven't even seen them yet!

Me, too. I'm making sure my hospital bag is packed tonight and I'm going to empty out the car and go vacuum it out and see if I can get my dad to help DH put in the carseat later. They're trying to get all of our stuff out of the other house (my dad just dropped off a load, I feel like such a bum! ) but I know I'll feel more comfortable going into my appointment tomorrow with the bag packed and the carseat in place. I don't know for sure that anything will happen but it never hurts to have my fingers crossed. Unless that might jinx me...

I hope LO stays in place until you are ready for them to come (or at least until your mom arrives!)... I still have my MP... ugh. so frustrating. If I weren't getting induced I'd be willing to bet Lucas would have stayed in there well over term!

DH has only gone to 1 appointment with me, though, the one to hear the heartbeat at 10wks...

My boyfriend is ready to be able to call my bump a name instead of baby just which name were not sure yet. We're thinking if it's a boy Evan and if it's a girl Cora.

Katie's heartrate was around 130 the whole time, so don't get too excited about it! That was another reason dh wasn't completely convinced she was a girl until she got here!

I thought the mp signals labor to be in the next couple of weeks according to what I have read but the nurse at the doc's office told me that it could be up to 4 weeks. So I really don't know! i do know that I have all the symptoms of preterm labor-don't know what that means for sure either!

Vista print does look like a winner but i won't pick it out for sure until the little one comes.
I have packed my bag since I have had so many worrisome signs that I might go early but we haven't put the carseat base in yet. And you definitely DO NOT need to feel like a bum (although I do understand!)-you need to think of that gallbladder and that little one you have inside of you. Your father I am sure does not mind one bit if it means he will get to see his grandson soon!

Both very CUTE names!!! We still have three to decide from once we see him come out and see which name he looks like most. I remember (which now seems so long ago!) finding out what we were having. Its such an exciting part of pregnancy. Up to that point there doesn't seem to be alot of things too exciting happen (besides finding out that your preggo of course!) because it seems so slow at that point so finding out the sex was a definite energy booster! I'm very excited for ya!
