As far as the travel goes, if you have someone in FL who can bring you essentials AND someone to babysit, holy cow, you are set!
For the 1st trip we packed diapers into every suitcase nook & cranny & wound up with extra. I was nursing & packed a small pump & Playtex bottles w/ disposable inserts. We used formula as a backup. AND we discovered that Eckerd drug store delivered. (Don't know if they still do, that was awhile ago.)
Our friends actually mailed a package of baby essentials to themselves ahead of time, just to minimize the baggage. Again, no problem at all.
