Our trip starts 8/17-25th We are Traveling as 2 families
there is me :wave2: mumeof3
Dh,Ds17,DD13 and DS10
the other gang is a family of 4,mom,dad,DD15,DD11
we will be staying at POR and the other family will be staying at POP
Well we left last night at 510 from Philly airport and arrived at MCO about 720 :cool1: Southwest was great,no problems at all and security was empty :thumbsup2 ,we then picked up luggage and headed to our 1st night destination The hampton Inn airport{because mean old disney had no room for us pirate: }by the way they are 20%overbooked at some resorts which means when you arrive later in the day you may get bumped to an upper level resort :banana: ,Well last night was uneventful,we headed to good old Denny's for dinner at 830pm{hey we could afford this since we will be having free Dining all week :yay: }
then both families departed for a restful night sleep now let me tell you my DH snores so bad that in 19 years of marriage we sleep in different rooms,so here we are stuck in a room and my DSthe 17yr.old are up all night because we forgot ear plugs,my Ds tried to sleep in the bathtub filled with blankets and then just gives up so we are both up untill 430 when I say to myself :stir: the dh has to get the heck up!!!!so I wake him telling him to get up like its a work day{ }and go play on the computer :surfweb: so we can sleep a few hours.......................well aint this vacation gonna be swell....needless to say he just took a nice walk to Walgreens to get Ear plugs and some tylenol PM....
Todays day will start with a ride back to MCO to pick up ME
head to resort, pre check in,2:30 adr's at WC and who knows where :confused3 ...

Check back later for our 1st real day at WDW as mom and Ds burn out from lack of sleep :furious:

sounds like a good start.....well except the noise maker....hahaha.....Hope the ear plugs work and you get some sleep......thanks for the beginning of your trip

I am so glad your posting this since we too will be spending our first night at a airport hotel- our flight gets in at 12.15! Can't see spending $$ for WL when we won't even get there till after 1. Does the Hampton Inn have a free shuttle, was it clean? You mentioned Walgreens -how far a walk was it? This could work out for us to pick up water....
We too plan on returning to the airport to catch ME, so I will be very interested to see how you do it and how it works out for you...

Thanks so much for posting..

Bev

OMG !! My DH snores like a BEAR !! so I know what you are going through

One word for you: CPAP (if that's really a word) It stands for Continuous Positive Air Pressure ( or something like that). It's a machine that forces air into your nose and keeps you breathing tubes open so that you don't snore. If your husband snores so bad that it keeps you all awake, you really need to look into it because he could also have sleep apnea. This little machine has done wonders for my marriage. My husband and I now sleep in the same room again and he takes it with him every where he goes. It has been a life saver in more ways than one.

BTW, I'm also looking forward to hearing about your trip.

The Hampton inn was clean and the walgreens was maybe 1/2 mile walk,we returned back to the airport and yes the shuttle is free

he had a cpap machine and hated it:( so now we all suffer when we travel, but the thing is we bought a 3 bedroom Timeshare last year and were planning on never doing hotel rooms again but the whole free food got us.....

we went back to MCO to catch the ME bus and it was so simple,we got to our resort and they had one room ready so we had a choice to take it or wait.... :confused3 so we take it and what a mess.....we looked like 5 duffeces carring our luggage looking for building 36 ughhhhhhh :guilty: not happy here but oh well,we face the parking lot,we are in between 2 bus stops and so far from the main stuff:{{{{the room is ok,so we started our day taking the boat to DTD to get on a bus to WL to have lunch at Whispering canyon, food was good but out waitress was old and boring.Loved that resort,we rented 2 racer boats and a large boat{9 of us}my family rode the big boat all over from WL to poly and back it was awsome our friends drove the racer boats and loved it....it cost us 33.00 for 1/2 hour for the big boat.We now returned for a swim and I bought the 2 mugs for refills,25.00 for coffee but after walking back to my room I am not sure if I will be running back to refill it anytime soon.
Garden grocers delivered our water and snacks..very nice  not sure but I think we are heading back to DTD tonight..pooped already....
by the way I hate the bus service...i rather rent a car,i feel like I have spent more time with transportation then my plane ride from philly

:guilty: So yesterday we woke up soooooooooooo early because it was Early Admission at MGM,so dh and my self decide to walk and get some coffee at 6:30am and then got the kids in gear,we went to MGM and yikes is all I can say about the bus ride, now after 2 days I relize if I have to stay here at this huge resort the good thing is we are the 2nd stop in the back of resort so by the time the buses makes it to the front you ain't gettin a seat :lmao: So we arrive at MGM and just hawl butt....we get all the good stuff done, then my dd started to have some Belly problems so my dh took her back to the resort for a bit{just figures while we are on vacation :guilty: }me and the boys along with the other gang in tow just keep on trucking thru,my dh meets us at Hollywood and vine for Dinner where the sky is turning black...BOOM :woohoo: comes the storm just in time for us to eat...the park kinda empties out and after dinner we dart in and out of stores and back to TOT and RR,it stops raining and we need to decide do we stay for Fantasmic :smooth: sure why not.....but my dh does not listen to me when I say lets leave right before it's over  well you can imagine the bus lines for my LOVELY resort :furious:
off to LaLa land untill tomorrow
oh wanted to mention we are loving the FreeDP....remember at DTD you can use snack credit on candy in goofy candy!!

So we decide to sleep in a bit{oh yeah like 8:30}and then we go to breakfast at our resort's food court, the food is okay ,we paid for breakfast out of pocket.then off we go to Typhoon Lagoon,we meet up with the other gang who by the way is loving the POP resort, buses and they were able to add a room at checkin, while we sit here waiting for buses, walking miles at POR :furious: so we do all we want and by 1 we are done so we go our seperate ways, and ok this time it's really not bad with the bus wait,we head to our food court again, now I have to say once again we are loving the fddp, never do we eat a full lunch with dessert  for lunch but this week is different,we almost swear Weight watchers has a partnership with disney and they know they are gonna make money when everyone leaves this place.... my dh is out with a rented boat again with the kids while I relax before we head to MK and Chef mickeys for a 7:30 dinner..... our friends are trying to book a firework boat ride...I will keep you posted. :Pinkbounc
