Wow - just went on Disney mom's panel website and looked up GAC. Everyone that wrote in was told to get a GAC and lines would be shorter for them!!
 
The Mom's Panel is a mass of misinformation. And you cannot correct them. I have seen real misinformation related to WDW tickets, and I work in ticketing and Guest Relations.

The most accurate information is right here on DisBoards. If somebody gives misinformation at least a half dozen people will (politely) jump down their throat with the correct information.

And, also important to remember that there are disclaimers on the Mom's Panel page that indicates the information and opinions there are not official Disney (it's late, so I'm not going to look it up nd copy it, but that's the quick summary).
 

Why does disney allow this to continue? There have been issues with these people since they day they created the 'moms panel'.

I have no idea - and I know they are aware of the misinformation on that board because people (including me) have emailed them about pieces that were wrong.
 
I'm sure though that to those that don't actually use a GAC that is what they think the process is like. Honestly though the guest relations CMs have to be the front line on making sure they are given out appropriately and the ride CMs to make sure they are used appropriately. I've seen plenty of times where people are all lined up for rides without the GAC holder and get turned away. I've also seen people turned away for GACs in front of me in line that just clearly are seeing if they can get away with it. As long as the CMs are well trained that's the best I can hope for. Though I do find it interesting that with saying the same exact things and the same condition I get different stamps on my GAC every single time. Never have had troubles though getting the right services except once at Toy Story they tried to insist on doing the stairs unless I got a fast pass. I just asked them to check with someone else and it was fine.
 
The last time I looked, they were telling people that all they had to do to obtain a GAC was to bring a note from their doctor!
 
You actually can correct them. You just have to message the person directly. They will never go back and correct the misinformation they posted on the site but at least they will know they were wrong and not post that one piece of bad information again.

When you are looking at their post I think you can click on their name. It has been so long since I have even been on the mom's panel that I forget but you can message each panelist directly.

And the bad thing is most of the misinformation I have seen is VERY VERY wrong and the info was given to ppl stating they were going to be first time visitors. So they are going to take that information with them and think they know the right way to do something.

Obviously Disney has absolutely nobody moderating what info is given out on the panel. Nobody is paying attention to the misinformation being given out.
