I should be proud, I suppose. My youngest son got early decision at the Citadel in September and accepted. I grew up near Charleston and even when I was young said that no child of mine would ever go to that college. The cadets were just weird! They had an attitude that they were superior and were better than others.
I tried talking to and pleading with my son about his decision. I insisted that he visit other colleges, but he has stood firm in his decision.
I can accept his decision, but why do our children make us eat our words?
I know that it could be worse. Have any of you had to eat your words? How long did it take to get over it?
Thanks for listening, I just had to vent because it is still eating at me>
