Mom's At It Again! ***Updated 4/30/2009~Trip Report Link**

Yeah!!!!!!! I'm all caught up now!

My to-do list is a whole lot longer than yours - I'm jealous!!! LOL!

Yay...welcome back! I'm sure my to-do list will grow as we get closer! I always think of things to add!

Awww, the pics of the boys at cub scouts is so cute. I remember when my brother used to make those cars for cub scouts!!!!

And does your oldest enjoy acting and do it regulary? That's a nice thing to get into.

Your to do list looks great! I'm so jealous that you only have 26 days left. And it looks like you don't have that much left on the list!

My oldest is in 8th grade and has been participating in the school's productions for the past 3 years. He did Cinderella, Once on This Island, and now Guys and Dolls. I LOVE that he enjoys it because I like to go watch!

I have been slowly doing things to get ready for the trip over the last month or so. I'm sure as the departure day approaches I will have more to add! For now, I feel like I'm in a good place! Just ITCHING to start packing! :yay:

I couldnt agree more. I was Walmart last night and they had some Disney beach bags. I wanted to buy them all. lol. But I must wait until payday at least. :rotfl:

I know! I had JUST purchased my Vera Bradley hipster and it hadn't even arrived yet when I was walking through Kohl's and looking at the cute bags! It's a sickness!

Why is it 24 days? Couldn't it be 24 hours-or better 24 minutes, or even better 24 seconds?

Oh, well-I had to call DisneyShopping.com this morning to ask why one of my pins didn't ship after 2 weeks. The cast member was sooo nice it was almost like being in WDW. Almost.

BTW-personalized pins take 3-4 weeks to make. I should have mine before the trip.;)

Are you ready yet?????

So it was time for a haircut. I haven't had one for almost a year. I have thick hair and once it gets too long, it just kinda hangs and drives me insane! I wanted to be sure to get a new cut before Disney...so I headed to the salon yesterday.

The salon I go to offers a free cut and style if you donate 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love. I did this last year around this time. So..why not?? I have another 10 inches....sign me up! :thumbsup2 AND...since I don't have to pay for the cut and style, I can do professional color!!! My grays are getting way out of hand!! LOL! When I donated last year, my hair was considerably longer and I ended up with hair just below shoulders. I knew that this time it would be shorter and figured it would end up just at the base of my neck. OK...I can live with that...just need to be able to put it up. So..........

Here are the results! I'll comment after the pics!

Right after the first cut! You can see the short piece in the front compared to the rest.

WOW..those grays really need to GO!!

Well.......

It did end up being shorter than I had planned. I can't put it in a pony, but it is much lighter and off my neck for the most part so I think I'll be ok. I LOVE  the color! I've never had it done professionally and am pleased with the result. The cut....I like, but am getting used to the length. I did shed one little tear...and then felt ridiculous because I am not the kind of girl to cry over a haircut. :upsidedow I'm sure once I have a few weeks to play with it, I will love it.

Your turn! What do you all think?? :confused3

Locks of love is a great charity.

Your haircut looks just fine-the color too. I am not an expert on women's hairdos, but shorter probably means more manageable in the FL sun and humidity.

Oh, your haircut looks amazing. I so want to do something with mine very soon, I just don't know what.

I would love to donate to locks of love, I think that is a wonderful thing to do . But, my hair is so thin, that when it gets so long (which is not nearly as much as I need to donate) It gets greasy, stringy, hangy....If that's a word.

I think your haircut looks great!!! :thumbsup2

That's great that you could donate it to locks of love - I'd love to do that, but I never let my hair get long enough.

I am SO ready! (Well, I'm not technically ready, but I want to go, NOW!) I asked my DH last night if it was time to go yet! UGH....24 days still seems like a long time. :rolleyes1

Looking forward to seeing the personalized pins...will they make it in time?

Thank you...It really will be easy to deal with...just wash and go!

I LOVE your new look Missy!! It's a lot like mine now. :goodvibes Yay for the 10 inch donation! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone! You're all too kind!

Love the hair cut. I color mine every 5-6 weeks and love it. I color it exactly what my color would be if I wasn't gray. I went gray very early.

I'm not brave enough to go that short though. You look great!! You'll have to let us know how the new length works out for you at Disney.

I love your new haircut! You basically did exactly what I did when I donated. If you have thick hair, you can do a half pony if you get hot, just gather the hair at right about your ear line and secure with a ponytail holder. It can help if you're really hot and doesn't look too ridiculous.

You are so close!!!

I hate that I have so many gray hairs! Color is a beautiful thing!

It is shorter than I had wanted, but I am getting used to it and I think that it will be perfect "vacation hair"! :thumbsup2

I love the color and think the length looks good with face shape. ;-)

:cutie: Thank you!

I am getting so excited! (Like I haven't been for the last 6 months, LOL!) I hope these next three weeks fly by...we are traveling next weekend to my parents' in PA, then Easter, then we leave the following weekend! WOO-HOO!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

nice bob!! it looks really cute on you! mickey will be all over... :flower:

I like the color and LOVE the hair style!

It looks great - my exSIL donates to locks of love. If I had the patience to allow my hair to grow that long I would do it, but I never make it past my shoulders.

The one drawback is that it's too short to put up...but on the up-side....my hair was up in all my Disney pics from last trip, so this will definitely be different!

Thanks for the compliments! :goodvibes

Bring a headband or two - I find that my bangs get all yucky curly in the humidity but my hair is too short to pull back. I just use a headband (or sometimes I wear a hat) to pull it out of my face. You won't have the bangs problem, but just pulling it back off your face will feel cooler. :thumbsup2

Good advice! I don't have the bangs, but my hair is just wavy enough that the humidity makes it curl up and not lie nice and smooth! UGH!

I like the headband idea and will probably pack one or two. I have never been much of a hat girl...I love the way they look on other people, but I just can't seem to get them to look like that on me! Maybe I'll have to try again with the new 'do!

Our trips are SO close! I keep thinking of Julie and Carissa in sunny Florida! :cool2:
