Days!!

:dance3: :cool1:  :banana:party: :dancer: :dancer: party:   :cool1: :dance3:

Ok..now I feel better! On to the business at hand...DHS touring plans. Now don't get me wrong, we like the Studios. However, I find it to be the hardest park to navigate and can never seem to get my bearings there. Hopefully, it will be easier this time!

Disney Hollywood Studios Touring Plan

Thursday April 23
Park Hours 9am-8:30pm

*Be at POR bus stop by 8:00 am

*Enter park at Rope Drop

*Head to Toy Story Mania and obtain FP....also ride if stand-by line allows

*Ride Rock-n-RollerCoaster--get FP for later

*Ride Tower of Terror--get FP for later

*See Voyage of the Little Mermaid

*Take the Magic of Disney Animation Tour

*Eat lunch--try Backlot Express or Studio Catering Company

*See Lights Motors Action Stunt Show

*Explore Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground

*Use FPs obtained earlier to ride TOT, RnRC, and TSM

*See Beauty and the Beast--this is a MAYBE---we'll see about showtimes and how we are feeling at the time :confused3

*Eat Dinner--try Pizza Planet

*See American Idol Experience--depending on show time

*Get in line for Fantasmic!--want to be in line by 7:45 for 8:30 show

Thanks for reading everyone!! As always, feedback is appreciated! :thumbsup2

Coming up in the next few installments: comprehensive to-do list, shopping list, our non-plan Epcot touring plan :scared1: , packing!

I find DHS the hardest to navigate and the hardest to plan for too. I think a lot of people feel that way.

You have a lot of shows planned - more than we would be able to do. Make sure you find out the show times ahead of time so you can work around them. I've recently discovered Steve Soares site has all of the showtimes - check it out if you haven't already. (Sorry - if you are one of the people who told me about it... I have a bad memory!)

I'd get in line for F! at least an hour ahead of time - word is crowds are horrendous. At least that's what I was reading a few weeks ago. I'll be anxious to hear how you make out with F!

Yeah..the shows are so hard to plan around. The only ones that are a MUST, MUST-DO are the animation tour and the stunt show. B&B, VOLM, and AIE are all expendable depending on time. I didn't tell you about that website, but I definitely knew about it and intend to print out the times for our dates before we go. I didn't have that last trip and it would have been so helpful!

I've heard about the Fantasmic crowds...we don't have much after dinner so we'll get there as early as we can. We sat up front last time so we wouldn't mind sitting back a little if we have to.

Oh... and happy 30 days!!!!

  :woohoo: :woohoo: :cool1: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thank you!!

No Indiana Jones??? No Star Tours???

We love the Animation Tour as well. We spent a ton of time there and got to meet Mr. Incredible. TOO COOL:hippie:

30 DAYS!!!YEAH!!!!!

LOL!! We saw Indiana Jones last trip and while we liked it, it is one we are willing to skip this time. And Star Tours is a NO GO for me, but the boys rode last time and weren't impressed. That all being said...depending on show times, crowds, etc we may end up adding them in and taking other things out! :goodvibes

I am excited about the animation tour. We did not do it in 2007. I think the boys will really like it. And we didn't see any of the Incredibles last trip so it would be awesome if we were able to catch them. :thumbsup2

I can easily do without Star Tours and Indiana Jones as well. :thumbsup2

I think DHS is hard to plan for because of all the timed shows. That's why we only get to see a couple on each trip. I think the only one we haven't seen yet is Beauty and the Beast and that's on my list for this trip.

Sorry I missed the 30 day dance! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:  :cheer2: :dancer:

Great DHS plans. Very organized. I'm going to put a must do list together , but I don't think I can be that organized, especially with 4 kids, to have a step by step list. Good Job. I mean I know what I'm going to run to first, and what side of the park we'll start on, but that's as far as it goes.

Oh My!! I missed the 30 day dance!!! Well here is one for 29!!!

:dance3: :cool1: :cool1:   :cheer2: :cheer2:   :cool1: :cool1: :dance3:

Thank you!!! Now we're at 27! :woohoo::woohoo:

Yeah...the shows make it tough. We'll do what we can!

You can join the dance anytime! Better late than never! :dance3:

Organization...a blessing and a curse! LOL! :rotfl:

We had a very busy weekend here! It was Pinewood Derby weekend for my DS8 and he and DH have been diligently working on his car. My DS11 also wanted in on the deal...he is not a Cub Scout, but they allow siblings to participate and he was all over that! Jonah (DS8) made a shark car, complete with sharp teeth and a fish in it's mouth! DS11 made an Irish flag car...his current obsession is Ireland....go figure. Here are a couple pics of the boys at the event.

Jonah and Isaiah both got cool trophies and Isaiah's car won a "Best Foreign Import" certificate. Jeff and the boys enjoyed the day!

Two weekends ago, my oldest DS (Dan) was in the Junior High performance of Guys and Dolls. I wanted to post a couple pics of him all decked out in his costume!

Now that I have my proud mommy pics out of the way....on to the planning! I have made a (what I hope to be) comprehensive shopping list for the trip. I have been picking things up here and there, but this is a list of what is left to purchase.

Clothing/Shoe Items:
*Crocs/sandals for Dan --he told me his still fit....they DON'T

Grocery Items:
*cheese crackers--the sandwich kind
*granola bars
*Pop-Tarts
*Slim-Jims
*fruit snacks
*plastic spoons

Misc. Items:
*sunglasses for Jeff
*cords for sunglasses
*sunscreen
*moleskin pads
*misting fans
*batteries (AA)
*special snack for plane

I also have re-checked the To-Do List and here is what is left:

*Finish Daily Touring Plans--only Epcot is left
*Print out Packing List
*Print entertainment schedule from Steve Soares website--week we leave
*order case of water from Staples--5 days before we leave
*make t-shirts for the rest of the family
*sort and organize Disney box items
*PACK!!
*make instruction sheet for Nick (housesitting) with all pet info, etc
*buy postcard stamps
*come up with 10 day "countdown to Disney" activities
*check-in online with Southwest 24 hours before flight

...and if possible........

*try to finish 2007 Disney scrapbook---a side note: I have been working on this as much as possible. I spent time at my customer event on Saturday working on it as well. I have 2 1/2 days of the trip left----wish me luck!

So that's it. More than likely I will add things to that list...I always do! Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

27 days is so cool.:cool1:

Love the pics of the boys.

Your list looks great. I certainly can't think of anything that you are missing. When you say print out packing list, do you mean one that you made on the computer, or do you download it from somewhere??

My DH got a new pair of the men's canvas crocs. He likes them. I'm not sure what will happen if they get wet. I hope they don't smell.:scared1:

I downloaded an "ultimate Disney packing list" for our last trip. I can't remember right now where I found it, but I'll do some digging. It has WAY more than I need on it, but I cross things out and customize it.

Canvas Crocs....hmmm...I know I'd have stinky feet in those!! :rotfl:

I was just reading random trip reports and I happened across yours.

I am Bag Girl too! I love them.

I really want Baggallini but I am afraid since I am "pooh sized" it wont fit well. :(

Love the pictures of the boys. :goodvibes Pinewood Derby - I remember it well. :thumbsup2 And Dan looks so handsome all dressed up in his costume. :)

You're so organized. I didn't even do a list this year. I'm wingin' it, baby! :rotfl:

Wss it National Pinewood Derby day? How funny that both our boys made cars and were racing on Sat. And I love the Dapper son of yours. I was invloved in the theatre when I was in school and some of my happiest teen memories are from then!

love your 30-day list and DHS list....you are so smart w/ planning not too much.

Oh and I'm sorry I missed your 30-day DANCE!

:dancer:

Mae (my 6 yr old DD) wanted to know if he was Irish dancing? :rotfl:

I am so glad he is involved in the theater productions at school. He does sports as well, but it's great that he is into a lot of different things. He enjoys it! Thanks for the dance!! Maybe he IS Irish dancing! Good observation Mae! LOL!

Just reading about this gets me all excited to travel:lmao:

ME TOO!!!! SO excited!! :banana::banana:

Greetings from Disney!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Woo-Hoo!!! Hope you are having the time of your life! :woohoo::woohoo: Can't wait to hear about it when you get back! :surfweb:

Yeah!!!!!!! I'm all caught up now!

My to-do list is a whole lot longer than yours - I'm jealous!!! LOL!

Awww, the pics of the boys at cub scouts is so cute. I remember when my brother used to make those cars for cub scouts!!!!

And does your oldest enjoy acting and do it regulary? That's a nice thing to get into.

Your to do list looks great! I'm so jealous that you only have 26 days left. And it looks like you don't have that much left on the list!
