Mom's At It Again! ***Updated 4/30/2009~Trip Report Link**

Welcome Back,

All that silence. I can't even imagine:lmao:

Good job on the shopping; sounded very productive.

I haven't had new luggage since I got married. That was in 1990:scared1: Maybe I could get some new suitcases? ;)

Enjoy the rest of your planning.

Oh my goodness that website is AMAZING!

Thank you SO much! I was just trying to figure out how reasonable it was going to be for us to get to DTD from some of the parks and THIS is what I needed!

You're my hero!

:flower3:

Any and all hero worship should be directed to mousescrapper as she did all the work to find that website! It IS amazing, isn't it?

Missy I love the autograph books they are so special. And how exciting about your family loving the shirts. I really hope you guys all wear them together!

That would be an awesome PhotoPass pic op in front of the castle or w/ Mickey!

 Yay on getting your DME stuff.

Have a good retreat and I hope you don't get kicked out:rotfl:

I think that if we all have a shirt we will definitely wear them the same day. DH is a good sport! Thanks for the compliments on the autograph books. I think they turned out cute! The boys are excited to begin using them again!

Ten thousand WOHOs for Mickey mail! That means you're getting so close! Yayyy!!

I love your t-shirts; did you say you did that DISign by yourself? I love it!!!

No..I'm not anywhere near that talented! I had Tracie from MouseEars personalized family DISigns do it. You can find her on the DISign board. She is fantastic!

Excellent Update!! Have a good retreat!!:thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes

Your autograph books are awesome Missy! You're very talented. :worship:

Your shirt came out great too! I just tried mine on the other day and realized it's a bit too small. Stupid me - I should have tried it on before I washed it and ironed on the graphics. :sad2:

I bought mine in a size too big so that wouldn't happen. I hate t-shirts that fit too tightly! And thanks for the kind words about the autograph books. I really debated just buying them books this year, but I'm glad I decided to freshen these up and use them again. I like that they are unique! :)

You don't strike me as the strong, silent, monastic (especially w/3 kids) type. Once you are there, you will realize what a calm place it is, and the silence at certain times will come naturally. If you feel you have to burst out laughing-just leave the room and handle business. I hope that helps:cloud9: (there are no Jesus smilies on this board).

Yeah...silent has never been a word used to describe me! LOL! I think if I had a quiet personality my family would eat me alive!

I'm sure you'll be fine not talking. Or, if you've ever seen the Frisco Kid you'll be like Gene Wilder at the monastery. He didn't do too well in the silence either.

Anyway, I love your Mickey Mail and your t-shirt! I am hoping to do a few of those before I leave as well...we'll see how it goes!!

I've never seen that movie, but I can only imagine! ;)

Everything I get in the mail just makes the trip feel that much closer!!

Cute shirts & autograph books! I made books last time but I think I'll have them buy books this year. We'll either get them at CBR or Epcot on our first day. Unless I find some spare time... I tried to buy them at the Disney Store but I guess they are exclusive to WDW.

Yay for Mickey mail!! I should be getting some soon!!! Although we aren't using ME to get to CBR - and we haven't decided if we'll use ME to get back to the airport or not... depends how long we keep our rental car - so as of now, no ME mail for me. :sad2:

Now I"m waiting on the mail that has our souvenir luggage tags and all the package components. Back to stalking the mailman! :rotfl:

Awesome autograph books!!!!!!! They came out great.

I have never seen the Magical express tags, I'm so excited:dance3: I can't wait to get mine, even though I know I got alittle wait. I'm at 58 days out. You must have been thrilled:banana:

Thanks for the compliments on the books. And you inspired me to do the shirts! Yours are great!

Those ME tags will be in your mailbox before you know it! It starts to feel so real once those things start arriving! :woohoo: :woohoo:

So I survived!

:goodvibes
In fact, I was a little freaked out to be honest. Silence just intimidates me....maybe because it gives me lots of time for introspection...

I hear ya!

vacation shopping is so much fun!! :yay: :yay:

I agree!

Still on the to-do list:

*purchase snack and breakfast items to take with us

*finish up touring plans (almost done, I'll post soon)

*put budget for spending money on paper!

*find suction cup soap holder for toothbrushes (I've had no luck finding what I want)

*make tipping envelopes with the boys

*make packing list

*look for misting fans

*make T-shirts for the rest of the family!

I'm sure there is more, but that covers quite a bit! I am so looking forward to starting to pack! :cool1:

Looks like a great list, and yes there's always something else huh?

Also, I ordered a grab bag of trading pins for the boys to put in their Easter baskets. I'm looking forward to seeing what they get! :)

UGH!!! DH and I were talking about ordering some of those "cheaper Pins" before we left for the kids, as Michael wants to try trading this trip, and really nothing he has right now he would actually want to trade. :headache: I can't believe I forgot...w/ only10 days to go I worry it wouldn't arrive it time. oh well....

You're SWEET!

Wow, you got a lot of stuff for your trip. Great Job!!!!! I need new luggage too. I have 2 large suitcases, but need some medium sized roll along ones.

Yeah..most of the things were things we needed anyway...the trip was just a good excuse to get them now! (like the socks, sneakers, etc.)

If you have to carry your bags any distance at all it PAYS to have wheels!! And now my boys are big enough to drag their own!! :woohoo:

I ordered mine on Wednesday March 11 and received them today, March 16. Just FYI in case you decide to try! :cool2:

ok...all caught up again! i love your countdown chain, and the trivia game that went along w/it!! you are so creative! lots of great ideas! :flower:

We are almost there. The 30 days or less mark is almost here. I don't know about you, but I am going to be sooo busy with church and work in the next couple of weeks, I am hoping it will magically be the 19th when I wake up one morning:wizard:

I see you bought luggage too. My Mickey luggage is supposed to be delivered tommorow. It was really a good deal. $55 for three black suitcases including shipping. I can't even get the three bags in those sizes at Wal-Mart that cheap. I am glad I bought it, because my other suitcases are deteriorating rapidly.

I have resolved to begin the packing when the luggage arrives, which is totally unlike me. However, I don't really need Florida Clothes in Colorado in March and April.

Thanks for checkin' in! Your trip is just around the corner!! Thanks for the compliment on the countdown chain....my boys are having so much fun answering the trivia questions! :yay:

I know what you mean about being busy with things for the next several weeks. Here is what my next few weeks look like:

This weekend is my big Annual Scrapbooking Event for my customers. I am an independent consultant and I do an all day scrap for my customers...catered dinner, prizes, etc. Lots of planning and a long day for me, but fun and hopefully profitable. It's also Pinewood Derby day for my DS8 and my DH so we are all busy! Next weekend is my annual Secret Pal breakfast for church and my oldest son has a Bible Quiz tournament out of town. The following weekend is Palm Sunday and we are traveling to my parents' house in PA to celebrate Easter with them...I know it's not Easter, but long-story-short we have to celebrate the weekend before so we can get the whole extended family together. Then...the next weekend is Easter, so for once we will be celebrating at our home church (we are normally in PA). Then only 1 week till we fly to Orlando! The weekdays in between are filled with school stuff, homework, extra-curricular stuff...believe me there is no time for this busy stay-at-home mom to eat bon-bons!

Anyway! Yes...here's hoping the time flies! :wizard:

I am trying really hard to wait to start packing till the 2 week mark, but I'm itching to get going. Like you said, I have very little use for summer clothes and swimsuits in Upstate New York in March and April!

That's a great price for your luggage. :thumbsup2 I'm not sure what sizes your bags are, but we paid $65 for 5 pieces (2 of which are more tote-bag/toiletry sized).

It has been an awesome couple of days at my mailbox!!

First, I got the Mickey Mail I have been anticipating....my package vouchers and my souvenir luggage tags.

The new luggage tags are very similar to the YOAMD ones except they added the Mickey balloons..very cute!! :)

The next treat I got in the mail was the grab bag assortment of pins that I ordered for the boys. I got 25 pins and a lanyard for $49 including shipping. I know the pins aren't the greatest, but my thought was that the boys would not be attached to them and more likely to trade for pins they do like. There are a few they may want to keep..but that's the fun of it...they can decide! I am planning to put the pins in their Easter baskets.

These are the possible keepers!

You'd think I had enough excitement, but today the wonderful FedEx truck dropped this at my door!

OOH...a box!! What's inside?
IMG_0975.jpg

It's getting better!
IMG_0976-1.jpg

Come on...now you're just teasing me!
IMG_0977-1.jpg

So CLOSE!!!

TA DAH!!!!

Yep..it's the Vera Bradley Hipster I ordered online. It's a retiring pattern so I got this $54 beauty for only $20, plus tax and shipping! (thank you Carissa!) I.....LOVE......IT!!!
I am so excited to use it and I fear it will not wait 33 days till our trip!

That's all for now. I hope everyone has a great St. Patrick's Day! :shamrock: :shamrock: Off to get my corned beef and cabbage started! YUM!!

I love the Mickey Mail!!! I'm patiently waiting for mine. :goodvibes

No need to wait 33 days to try out your hipster - you need the break it in, right? :rolleyes1

My bad! mousescrapper is my hero now too! :)

All that stuff looks SO fun! I love that you got some pins that the boys might give up easily in order to get the ones they want. I would make a terrible pin trader because I would want to keep them ALL! LOL

Yay for all of the awesome mail!! So glad I could bring someone else over to the dark side. ;)

I love my hipster and use it all of the time! :thumbsup2

Oh! Yay yay yay for your Mickey mail! That means you're SO close!! :cool1:

I love your bag; wonderful choice!

And, too bad we aren't going at the same time. I'd totally try to trade your DS for the Stitch pin!

It has been an awesome couple of days at my mailbox!!

I don't buy in to the Parallel Universe/Dimension theories, however, It seems like your family and mine are on somewhat similar tracks. Even the mail is the same, with the exception that you got a Vera bag and I'm getting Mickey bags.

Some people might think that we are going to Disney World at the same time?:lmao:

My oldest DS dabbled in pin trading on our last trip and I think he'll really like having some pins to be able to trade. The only pins we had last time were pins we bought there...those ones you pick out special are hard to part with! He was trying to collect all the Mickey Head flag pins last time..it will be fun to see how trading goes for him now that he has several pins to work with! :)

Yay for all of the awesome mail!! So glad I could bring someone else over to the dark side. ;)

I love my hipster and use it all of the time! :thumbsup2

I so love the dark side! I want to use the bag now, but I'm afraid I'll get it dirty before we go....so silly! My fabric is a lot lighter than your red. I know I'm going to break down and use it...the pull of the bag is too much for me to handle. I'll cave! :rotfl:

Thanks...I like the bag even more in person than I did on the website!

I really think he's going to like the Elvis Stitch pin...he will probably hold on to that one! He can usually be bought though.....money talks to him! :lmao:

You crack me up! Parallel universe....:lmao: Did you buy the Mickey luggage at disneyshopping? I looked at that, but decided against it because I would have had to purchase more to get free shipping...not that I would have HATED that, but I do have to stick to a little bit of a budget!! :goodvibes

My bad! mousescrapper is my hero now too! :)

I'm going to get some complex w/ this hero worshiping....:lmao:

Missy....thanks for the thought of trying to pull off an oder of pins last minute, but we'll just have to wing it down there.

:yay: on all your mail and your VB is so cute. LOVE IT. My VB backsack is hanging on my closet I can't wait to start using it agian...although my MM bag will be packed for the season.

Oh, all of that Mickey Mail, it gets me so excited. I WANT MINE NOW. I'm trying to be patient, but it's not really working out so well.
Love the bag, and I had no idea they mailed you the vouchers, I though you got all of that when you checked in. I guess i'm in for so many surprises.:cheer2:

woo hoo!! it's so exciting to get mickey mail!! nice bag too! i don't think that would be big enough for me though...i usally take my backpack. :flower:

You're welcome! I'm sure you don't need one more thing to add to your To-Do list! ;)

It's kind of a let-down now because I know I won't be getting any more Mickey Mail. Oh wait...the kids will be getting postcards soon! More mailman stalking! :rotfl:

Thanks....I like the bag a lot. I think it IS a little bit smaller than what I used last trip and maybe a little smaller than my Baggallini messenger, but I plan on using both. I really like to take as little as possible into the parks. AND..I'm the only one with a bag so the boys and DH get to sail through the "no bag" line while I wait!!
