Momma, I got to dance with Flynn Ryder! A January 2011 TR.

Love the pics of the dolphin show :thumbsup2 Am glad you all managed to stay dry.

Wow that seahorse sure looks like a plant - wouldn't have thought otherwise if you hadn't mentioned it!

:rotfl2: at the pic of your penguins!!

I really didn't want to walk around wet all day, plus I overheard some kids, who were soaked, that the water tasted gross :lmao:
The girls walked around like penguins for a while. They can be a bit strange ;)

I'm so excited to see your sea world pictures! That stadium looks huge!!!

It was huge. SeaWorld to me seemed small, but you can tell where they pump the money. I'm going to try to finish up SeaWorld tonight.

Great Sea World pictures! It's been so long since we've been there. You really make me want to get back. Katie was watching over my shoulder and loved the dolphin shots!

My Kadence was sitting next to me last night as I was puttting the update together, and she was telling me that she loved the dolphins and the killer whales the best. Oh, and of course the stuffed penguin we bought her :rotfl2:

Awww!

After the sharks, we headed over the see the seals.

My DD’s threw the fish at the seals, but either the seals weren’t hungry, or they were too lazy to eat the fish off their own backs.

Please may I have some more!

This guy was making all kinds of noise, and loud too!

Some more seals

It was getting close to show time for Believe, so we headed over to that side of the park.
Along the way, whale tail made of flowers.

cont....

We had about 45 mins before Believe started, but I wanted to be able to get good seats and we thought to get a snack and rest until show time. We wandered slowly to Shamu Stadium.

You can tell this is the BIG show.

Some pre-show pics of the killer whales behind the gates.

The new baby whale was shown. I guess the show has been taken down a notch since he was born. It was still neat to see.

The trainers spent a lot of time explaining how they train the whales, which actually is a way to check over the whales health in a fun way.

Still more interaction with the whales

Shots of the Baby whale

up next, what happens when you sit in the splash zone

This was funny. See the girl in the pink shirt?

Splash,

RUN! LOL

Saying Goodbye

It was a good show. Kadence was amazed that the whales splashed so much water at people. We sat just out of the splash zone, and it’s a good thing we did. I later heard some kid say the water tasted really gross!

Up next, Clyde & Seamore

It does taste gross. We sit in the splash zone one time. Never again the water was gross and it hurt my eyes.

Those killer whales are so beautiful!

Even if the water tasted gross, must be nice to sit in the splash zone in the summer!

I am kind of a Germaphobe, and I start thinking about what could all be in the water. I won't even swim in a lake :sad2: Who knows whats in it :lmao:

I thought the whales were awesome. The pictures don't do justice to how big they are!

I had been hoping to finish the SeaWorld part of this last night, but we had a major snowstorm/sleet/freezing rain come through yesterday, overnight (and still snowing)and with it came thunder & ligthning! Off went the laptop and now I have a SNOWDAY:banana:
I'm hoping after some quick housework, I can put up the rest of SeaWorld.

Carey

Carey, your pictures are fantastic! We've debated on going to Sea World (my mother has never seen a whale and Hunter was just 3 the last time we went) and your report is making me want to add it to our list of things/places to do.

What great pictures - those seals sure were being lazy!

Loved watching the Believe show with you and is it mean to :rotfl2: at the story of the girl being splashed so hard?? I did it anyway! :lmao:

I glad we went. We've never seen anything like it, and the girls really liked it!

I was watching people reactions to getting splashed, that girl had me rolling. She came down, got splashed and ran!:lmao:

We then headed over the see Clyde and Seamore.

The mime that warmed up the audience was hilarious.

He was making fun of everyone who walked by. Not mean spirited, but like if a cute women walked by he would mime love, or his heart beating wildly out of his chest. Once a family walked by and he made a big production out of counting all the kids. There were 5 girls, a baby in a stroller and the Mom was obviously pregnant. He slapped the Dad on the back, mimed like the guy was “the Man” and after the family passed by, the mime gave us all the crazy sign while pointing at the family.:rolleyes1
They were a group of people that came in and one of the guys was dressed like he was a total gangster. Think dreads, gold chains, and pants down to his knees. The mime pulled down his own pants and walked behind the guy, copying the way he walked. :lmao: The whole place was laughing so hard. The guy didn’t get that the mime was behind him, and when he did he laughed it off.

The main show was really good. It was funny, and the animals preformed very well.

This little guy stole the treasure map, and the pirate was tring to catch him.

Kadence was mad she didn’t get picked to take part in the show. The girl next to us was picked to shake the seal’s flipper

http://

Following too close, and then acting like they weren’t!

In this scene, one seal would steal food while trainer looked the other way

This big guy came out right at the end of the show. He was huge!

We were going to the dolphin cove to let Sam feed the dolphins. But when we got there, the next feeding was an hour and a half away. The sky was getting very dark and the winds were picking up. As we talked about should we stay and wait or not, Mother Nature made up our minds for us. It started to rain. Sam was very disappointed, but we didn’t want to be stuck in a storm. I’m sad that she didn’t get to do this, but I’m hoping she may be able to feel some dolphins this summer when we go to the Shedd Aquarium this summer in Chicago

It was only about 3:00PM, but due to bad weather heading our way, we left to head back to POR. We had planned to eat at POR in the Riverside Grille. Sammy and I had the “create your own pasta”; John had a grilled chicken sandwich and Kadence had Chicken nuggets.

We all enjoyed our food, and for desert we all shared. The magic bars are AWESOME! By the time we had finished our dinner, it was starting to rain harder. We ran to our room, and just vegged out. By 5:00pm there were tornado warnings out and it was all heading our way! I tried to take a picture showing the weird colored sky, but instead I got weird girls!

Right after I snapped the photo, lightning flashed across the sky and scared the girls. They ran for it.

It rained all the rest of the night into the early morning. The next morning, the news had reports of tornado damage only 30 minutes east of Disney.

Our Next Day; Our 1st day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We had gone to Sea World the day before you. Its so relaxing. We had plenty of time to see all the shows and visit all the different animals with a bit of time left over to search for soveigners. We debated on the Pets Ahoy show. Since DS2 loves puppys we decided to watch it. So glad we did! Every show there is absolutely amazing!! Glad your family enjoyed it as much as mine!

Have read about the 'famous' mime in another TR and he sounds hilarious!! :rotfl: at the story of the family scenario and the the one of the guy with his pants soo down!!

The show sounds great! :thumbsup2 What a shame that Kadence didn't get chosen and Sam didn't get to feed the dolphins...hope she manages to experience it in Chicago.

Love the pic of the girls at the end...what a shot! Am glad the tornado damage was 30 mins east and not in Disney itself. Look forward to reading about your DHS day :goodvibes
