"Mom, why does the Magical Bus have to be the happiest and the saddest bus?"NEW 8/24!

I've never seen the Cars characters before. Do they talk or interact with the kids at all?

That was so cool that you guys had the Toy Story characters in front of you for Block Party Bash!! Total Disney magic for Gabe! :goodvibes

Great Photopass Pics!! :)

Great photo with Donald at TH! Is that when you first get there? Well, at least you were not delayed longer at the airport.

We really enjoyed POFQ when were were there on our first trip. I hope you enjoyed staying there. I really hope my DD crashes too at the hotel. Couple time!! :cloud9: I hope my Dad, who is sharing a room with us, will be willing to give us a bit of time at least once so me and DH can at least go get an adult beverage or go for a walk. :goodvibes

Character Connection: great pictures! I hope DD acts like Gabe did--just runs up to give them a hug! The last photo of the three of you is so precious! You and Gabe look like you were having such a great time. :goodvibes: Poor Helen looks tuckered out. I hope she slept well in the stroller for you.

The picture of Gabe and Helen sleeping after the first day says it all--what a great, tiring time they had! So precious :lovestruc:

Great picture family picture with Buzz and Woody!! You all looked like you had such a fabulous time! The self portrait is great too! DH and I love taking those pictures too.

I love the photopass cd pictures--I am looking forward to taking advantage of that service (did not on our last trip, if it was even available). They are all great but I think the one of Helen first visit is my favorite!

I am pretty sure I am going to be using a backpack too. Did you find it comfortable carrying?

I have to say I am all caught up and I am loving  your TR! It looks like you all had such a great time. Gabe just has the biggest grin on his face.
Glad you got all caught up Stephanie! We LOVED Character Connection and Buzz and Woody. They were both great experiences for the kids and lots of fun!!! The backpack wasn't too bad, it was nice to be able to trade off with Cory too instead of me having to carry it all the time!!:goodvibes

Thanks Alicia! I LOVE Photopass and all that I could do with it! It was really fun to play with each picture and all the borders! It will be something I REALLY plan for on the next trip! Block Party Bash was lots of fun!! We got really lucky with where we were sitting, I had no idea where to wait because this was our first time there! It was great! The Cars characters are neat, they don't interact with the kids at all, I thought their eyes moved but I didn't notice it this time, same with the revving their engines, I thought they did that but again I didn't notice it! Gabe still loved being able to walk right up to them!!:goodvibes

I stole my mom's camera and took the pics off of it! Most of hers are scenery from the Flower and Garden from our first day. I don't think she always brought the camera with her, she relied on me and our camera...she's so sweet...:rotfl::rotfl: She must have remembered how much I loved to carry stuff...:upsidedow
These were taken near the Fairy and Butterfly Gardens. Helen was napping in the stroller and my parents took Gabe through these while Cory and I waited with her.

Okay, I am finally all caught up with the extra pictures!! Hopefully later on I can get the next installment up!!!!!

I love the pics! The one of Cory "wearing" the DHS hat is just awesome! I never did see where you met the Monster's Inc characters and I wanted to find it but my kids didn't have the interest. We also didn't get to meet Woody or Buzz but we did meet Jessie.

Hey Beth!
Finally all caught up....Great updates!
Those flower pics are pretty neat!
Love the photopass pics too! :goodvibes

Great F&G pictures!!:thumbsup2 I loved looking at all the different topiaries on our trip. We missed seeing the Bambi ones though. By the time we got over that way it was late and we were so busy staking out a place for Illuminations we didn't even notice them. I'm so glad you posted them...they're adorable!:)

Ahh...it looks like your parent's had a great carriage ride through Port Orleans!:goodvibes

Hi Chris! Thanks, it was a lot of pictures to catch up on but finally I am!! The Monster's Inc characters were towards the back of the park, I can't remember off the top of my head where they were, I think we just kind of stumbled upon them! There were many to meet at DHS!

Hey Beth!

Thanks Heather! I am so glad my mom took those pics because I didn't feel that I got too many, so it's nice I had her as a "back-up"!!!

Thanks Angie! They did have a great carriage ride, my mom liked that it was something different and that is was so relaxing! Cory, the kids, and I missed a lot of the WS topiaries because the only time we went around WS was Cory and I at night on our last day! I regret not seeing more but I hope the next time we go we can explore a lot more!! It's so beautiful there during the festival!!

Thanks Keala, I know you and Roman took a carriage ride, I hope you two enjoyed it as well!!! The Fairy Garden was really pretty!!! I think it was my mom's favorite thing to see!!!

Finally back to the "regular" trip report!! It was Tuesday, April 27th and our first and early mission was to make our 8:15am ADR at Donald's Safari Breakfast. Like most who rely on only Disney Transport Buses ("everyday bus" to us), I had a lot of nervousness about getting to the bus on time. So, our goal was to be up and at em and head to the bus stop at 7:15am. YIKES! :scared1: I didn't want to miss the early bus!!! We got up and ready, we had the kids showered the night before so all they had to do it get dressed! Cory and I and my parents got ready quick and by 7:20 we were heading to the bust stop! Not too shabby!!!!:thumbsup2 Now, we were waiting with a couple other families for the bus to AK, by 7:30am it was pulling in, YEAH!!!!!! :woohoo: After making the rounds at Riverside we were on our way to AK!! On this day we decided that getting Gabe a stroller would be the way to go, since this park is so big and there is a lot of walking. He had been asking to ride a few times at this point! We walked back to Tusker House and checked in right about 8:10 and lined right up to meet THE DUCK! :donald:
Here's Helen and Cory waiting...
DSC01247.jpg

It was our turn and Gabe was over the moon excited!!!
DSC01248.jpg

I didn't even realize that a CM grabbed our camera and took a picture!
DSC01249-1.jpg

We got seated and were told we were in the first room and that the characters would be out shortly so go and get our food! YUMMY!! My favorite thing here was the JUICE!!! It was soooooooooooo good!!! We went up to the buffet and loaded up our plates! All the food was super good! I don't think any of us ate anything we didn't like!!
Up first was M-I-C-K-E-Y!!!!
DSC01250.jpg

Both kids were all hugs for the characters here! It was fun to see Helen interact more!!

Next is Daisy, and it seems to be a favorite of BOTH of them now!!:goodvibes

DSC01260.jpg

We had a little wait time for Goofy so I know we all got more food and drank a lot more juice!!!
I must have videoed Goofy because I don't have any pics! Maybe Gabe does on his camera...
They did a little dance around the room then and a CM came around with a picture package with Donald. Thinking I didn't have one of all us on my camera AND since it turned out so great and had all 6 of us in it, I spent $30! It was an 8x10 and 4 4x6. Not terrible but once I got home and saw the pic on my camera I was a little goofed... Oh well...it's a nice pic...
It was about 9:05 and we left our Safari Breakfast and hopped on a Safari Truck!!! We walked right on through the line...:thumbsup2

I LOVE that tree!
DSC01274.jpg

My favorite, giraffe...

After saving Little Red we disembarked and searched for our stroller in the masses for at least 10 minutes....grrrrrr... We then turned our direction towards Asia and were on our way...

Great update Beth!!:goodvibes It looks like the Tusker House was a hit for breakfast! (we loved it too!;)) I'm glad that Helen was starting to warm up to the characters more. You got some really cute pictures with Mickey and Daisy. We had to wait awhile for Goofy too.:confused3 That's okay though like you guys, it gave us more time to enjoy our yummy juice!!

YAY! for the Safari! That's exactly where we went after our Tusker House breakfast.Oohh...and Giraffes are my favorite too!!;) Can't wait to see where you head next!!popcorn::

Awesome update! We loved Tusker House too. I thought the food was just great there and my dh loves Donald so it was a win-win for us! We were able to walk onto the safari on our AK day as well- yay!!!! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your day. Love your safari pics- esp the mama and baby:love:

Great update! Beth
wonderful TH pictures!! we bought the pkg of pic too and were very sorry afterwards the one I had on my camera was exact (like yours), Danny loved the juice they served too. We, too, enjoyed the offererings here (even Ashton found food he liked) the only thing I wished I had not tried was the plantins (always wanted to try but did not like at all and poor Ashton loves grits and I put something in his plate that appeared to be cheese grits and it was something made with potatoes--we did not like that either, but, everything else was great!)...
great safari pictures...cute baby rhino shot!

Thank you Angie!!! Yes, we loved Tusker House! I would definitely eat there again! It was nice when Helen started to give hugs and be more brave with the characters! It was really nice to not have to "force" her to go near them! I was proud of her! It was so nice to walk right on the Safari, it was great that it was right next to breakfast!!!

Thanks Chris, yes the mama and baby were so cute, I am glad I got a pic, it was really hard for me to take pics of this because I wanted to see the animals really well too!!! Breakfast was awesome and I am glad you guys had a good experience too!!

I guess I wasn't the only one who was "enchanted" to buy the pics Connie!!!:rotfl::rotfl: It was nice the CM took our pic I just wished I would have known it!!!!!:rotfl: I stand corrected too during our meal, I DID try the plantains and I did not like them either! You saying that totally reminded me about it, I know Cory liked them but I didn't!! Everything else was good though I remembered!!!!! I forgot you guys went to breakfast the day before us!!

Since Gabe is chillin' out here and Helen is napping I think I can post a bit more!! So after the Safari we started heading over to Asia! First we had to stop because Gabe wanted to check these out!!
DSC01283.jpg

Cory was a drummer a loooooooong time ago, and he lets the kids "practice" on his snare drum at home, so when Gabe sees drums he HAS to play them!!
We continued to wander and came upon EE! Cory and I grabbed FP's for 11:20 and we strolled over to Finding Nemo!! By now it was shortly after 10 and the first show was at 10:30! We parked the strollers and sat in the third row right next to the stage! It was a wonderful show as usual!!! The kids sat still through the whole thing!! It was cool to be up so close! AWESOME show!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
By the time we got out of there and over to our strollers our FP times were up! Cory and I conquered the Yeti!!!! It was a BLAST as always and I can't wait until the kids are old enough to give it a try!!! It was now time for some kid rides so off to Dinoland!!! We rode TT with the kids once and then mom and dad rode it twice with them!
DSC01284.jpg

DSC01285.jpg

DSC01286.jpg

While the kids rode with my parents Cory and I took a "whirl" on Primeval Whirl!! Both rides had VERY minimal wait times!! It was fun!! We were all getting hungry but before lunch my mom and I wanted to ride Dinosaur!! On our last trip the two guys got to ride but when my mom and I tried it was broken down so we got first dibs this time!!! The posted wait time was 10 minutes so the guys hung with the kiddos and we hopped into line.
I must say, the combination of my mom and me must jinx this ride. We made it all the way to the steps down to the ride load area and the lights kept flashing. After waiting in there for 15 minutes and trying to restart the ride numerous times, we were given FP for later and had to exit....BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused3:confused3
Oh well, maybe next trip for me!
We met up with the guys and kiddos and headed for some lunch! Off to Restauratasouras...however you spell that place. Hot dogs for the kids and the guys, salads for me and mom. YUM!! By this time the kids were starting to lose it some so Cory and I took that as going back to FQ for a rest!! We parted ways, Mom and Dad stayed at hit up Dinosaur! (lucky ducks) and I think they did It's Tough to be a Bug too and we planned to meet them later in the afternoon!
We beelined for the buses until we saw VERY short lines here and had to stop...

Gabe had just began getting into The Lion King and Timon is his fave, we HAD to stop!! They look happy as can be too in these pics!!

The last one is a nice family shot!!
Then we went to the buses and back to FQ to rest! I think they both dozed for a bit this day! It was an early morning and it was going to be a late night at...

Ooh, great updates! I love Animal Kingdom. Looks like you had a great day so far. The baby rhino is super cute. :goodvibes

Bummer about Dinosaur breaking down. There was one time my dad and sister rode it when it had been broken down I think then was working again but they said they stopped a bunch of times during the ride. That would be kind of creepy. :scared1:

Thanks Sarah! We loving hanging out at AK too, we missed so much this trip but had a ton of fun doing all the things we did! I hope the next trip we can stop and do more of the hands on things we missed. We missed the Pangani Trails, Rafiki's, and the Boneyard, all which were on my list of things to do this time around! Oh well...

It would be VERY creepy to be in the attraction when it broke down, hopefully all the lights didn't go out...YIKES!:scared1:

The safari breakfast looks like a lot of fun! You guys met a lot of characters at AK...we missed most of them. Oh well, theres always next time!
