I do not blame you for wanting the boat to DTD. That is one perk we just love about staying at POFQ. I just did an update on my TR about our bus ride back from DTD back to the Beach Club. It was not a great experience!! Bummer about the 40% off

Hurray for an Animal Kingdom update!

about the boys fighting pictures. My two have been at each other all week -- you would think they would outgrow this as they get older, but I swear it has been worse this week than ever before.

Woo hoo! You know we love Dinosaur!!!

Yep, $2.50 a game is really highway robbery, but Connor was willing to spend his money last year -- I am hoping we avoid it this year.

Hmmm, when we stayed at POR, we were in Magnolia Terrace. It was a good spot and very pretty!

trying to get caught up w/ everyone else before updating on my end....geeze almost 2 weeks off and so much has happend...

1st my embarrasing/funny gerbil story...so my Mom and I slept in my cousin's bedroom (she is 12) on her trundle bed and she has 2 gerbils in her room...I never heard them much during the night btw...but of course I was up past 1 am everynight there too

however one afternoon, my Aunt asked if I could feed them some cale... and the freak I am was so scared of these somewhat tiny animals...she had to come w/ me...I was like "they'll see the fear in my eyes"... oh man I'm sad

back to your TR and Fall plan....

AK sounded fun...making awesome time commuting to the parks too... cute about Zach and his crystals again...

your fall plan sounds good...too bad on the pin code, but since you got one maybe another one will come too

I'd stick w/ Heidi and others who say eat at WPE...we haven't, but that bfast pizza looked oh so good!

I'd bet you could get away w/ no TS at Epcot too if you'll be doing the F&W F all those choices look yummy and fun to try...

...I was very tempted by Coronado Springs since that's where Kathy is now staying. But Laura & I talked about it and really want to take the boat to DTD....We decided that the boat to DTD is worth the $25 each extra to stay at POR and kept our ressie as is.

Great update Amy!!! We were at AK the same day!!! We were deep into the park early though since we were at the Safari Breakfast before park open! I keep trying to spot us in the background somewhere!! Those crystals were beautiful, what a cool thing to collect!!! They are so brave to ride on dinosaur, Gabe wanted NOTHING to do with it this time around! Bummer about the 40% pin code not working out for you!! I got the same thing in the mail, 40% off at Values and Mods don't seem to happen very often, Values would be a steal!!! Here's some pixie dust for a GREAT AP discount!!!!

Dinosaur is so much fun!! Your boys are very brave! Mine still refuse to ride...although Noah did say he would try but we ran out of time this trip.

I definitely agree about Primeval Whirl! It's not a favorite of mine either.It looks like your boys were having fun though.

I don't know when I'll get to stay on-property again, since we find off-site better with the kids, so I want to experience everything I can while I'm there... including the boat!! We also don't usually go to DTD with the kids so I want to make sure I get to do that! Laura's really looking forward to it too!

My two can't stand near each other without pushing! Alex says something to make Zach mad, Zach shoves Alex, Alex shoves back, then the next thing I know they are rolling on the floor! I suppose it's all normal, but it drives me crazy!

$2.50 is crazy! I guess we need to make the kids pay with their own money next time. They had Disney gift cards & I think we had to pay cash for the tickets? I'll make sure they have some cash next year.

Thanks for sharing the gerbil story! Misha & Jessica are still doing well! We actually bought them a bigger cage this weekend, the little mouse cage was OK to start, but now they have more room to explore in their triple decker rodent condo!

I only have a few ADRs and we'll be flexible with those... we'll probably check out the F&W kiosks at Epcot and see how it looks before deciding. I have the GF Cafe for breakfast too, but that will take a big chunk of time out of our day, so I suspect we'll be eating breakfast pizza at WPE!

/Darn! That would've been awesome! Oh well!

The birds at FTBBQ weren't as bad this year, but they were definitely still there!

The funny thing about the pin codes is that my mother used to get them at our address all the time after our 2008 trip. Luckily they are coming in my name now. I've gotten a couple different ones, but since we usually stay off-site it hasn't been very exciting.

I really like dinosaur too... Zach enjoyed it so much last year, but only wanted to ride once this time. Sort of like Alex with ToT.

I can tolerate pretty much any ride, but I felt like I needed to see my chiropractor after Primeval Whirl!

40% is such an amazing deal for values & moderates... but I'm happy with 30%... Who am I kidding? I'd be happy to go back at rack rate!

Hi Everyone!! This morning I was able to upgrade our room to a water view!! I checked the website & was surprised to see it there so I called right away! (Yesterday POR wasn't available at all - water or standard.) I did the upgrade then put in our room requests for river view (as opposed to pool), top floor, Magnolia Bend/mansions section. I didn't request a specific builidng at this point... I'm not sure it's necessary since we'll be on the front side of any building we are in, assuming we get river view.

When we booked we decided the view wasn't very important, but the more I worried about looking at a parking lot, the more I knew I wanted water view. This vacation really is about relaxing & treating ourselves... and I WANT TO SEE THE RIVER! And my feelings were confirmed when I checked yesterday and water view wasn't available... I'm so happy I got it today!

I also confirmed that our ME information was added. I did it online, but it wasn't showing up the next time I logged in.

Still hoping for an AP rate because then we'll be able to add the dining plan. Though I'll have to look at it to see if that would even be cost effective for us. Can Laura add the dining plan for AP holders if she doesn't have an AP? I know they usually make everyone on the same ressie do the same thing.

Off to another busy week... I'll try to get another update posted sometime before the weekend.
