Mom Shoes?

I have to wear running shoes, year round, at Disney. It is not just the walking- it is the house of standing. After a few hours my feet and lower back hurt if I don't have support.

Sketchers go walk (properly broken in). Wore them the vast majority of our last 8 park days and loved them! In hotter weather I would have needed/wanted sandals though. On our sept trips I've worn fitflops and they were great, too. I've had sore feet from standing, but luckily no blisters (knock on wood!)

I wore my tennis shoes most days. One day it rained and they got soaked despite my best efforts so I had to wear a pair of Old Navy flip flops I'd brought the rest of the day. My feet hurt so bad that night! I could never do a whole day in flip flops.

I second the Teva sandals. They are my shoe of choice to wear all day at Disney. Make sure you get the Mush footbed! I bought them based off a recommendation on DISboards also, and have not regretted it!:)

Brooks running shoes and Keens. I alternate and I have never had a problem.

I wear Toms or Teva flip flops.
The kids wear Toms also... we have an aversion to socks :rotfl:

Tried on the Go Walks for our trip last August and man, it was like walking on a cloud :cloud9: !! Wore them the majority of our trip, rotating occasionally with my Under Armour flip-flops which is what I'd worn on many previous trips. The UA flip-flops are very cushiony and don't hurt my feet even after a long day of walking in the parks.

When we go during the cooler months I just make sure I have a good, broken in pair of running shoes :thumbsup2

The 2 most important things to remember, I think, are to bring *at least* 2 pairs so you can rotate, and to make sure you've broken them in prior to your trip!

We wear running shoes during the day, but after a break/swim at the resort, DD and I might wear sandals or flip flops when we go back out for dinner and park time in the evening.

I've seen so many recommendations for Go Walks so went to check them out and there are a lot of styles. Do most people find slip-ons or lace-ups more comfortable?

Keens and Birkenstocks. I also have a pair of New Balance sneakers with Birkenstock insoles because I have plantar's fasciitis

I either wear my good Asics walking tennis shoes or my flip flops. The rainbow flip flops are seriously amazing if you have a pair that is well broken in. I also like my Nike ones with the squishy soles.

Just returned from 8 days at Disneyworld and did lots of walking every day. The first day I wore my New Balance 847's. I've been wearing New Balance shoes for probably 10 years.

After the first day I wore my Skechers, alternating between two different pair of slip on Go Walks (beige and black). I wore the nylon Peds with them.

My feet never hurt or felt sore or tired, etc. with the Skechers. They did with the New Balance.

DH wore Skechers as well, alternating between two different pair (slip ons and tie ups).
