Yesterday the kids went back to school so I took some pics to share

Yay for back to school!! Two of my three are back too and Demetri starts on Friday!

Is it just me or are the backpacks getting bigger and bigger every year?

Nah, the backpacks are staying the same size, everything else is shrinking, including us..

I think the backpacks have gotten bigger too which is funny cause my kids never seem to get homework. Emma did get choked by a grade 2 boy yesterday though so I guess I have to go deal with that crap today. All I got was a note from the teacher saying she talked to a boy that hurt Emma at recess. My poor baby

Whaaa? I think that certainly warranted a little more than a pretty vague note! Poor Emma...

OMG, the same thing happened to my son in the 2nd grade!!! I really dislike bullies!

Emma is ok. I spoke to her teacher today and she was not sure if his parents were contacted or not but said she would look into it for me. I reminded her about the new bullying reporting procedures that came out last year that states a report must be filed about the incident and the parents of the bully as well as the parents of the victim need to be called. I think she will look into it for me (or else the principle is the next stop)

That is just terrible!! You are a good mom for dealing with that head on! if someone did that to one of my kids, I would be right there dealing with it too!! I don't think that a note sent home was appropriate though, that deserved a telephone call!

Thanks, I am very hands on and on the parent council (which is how I know the new bullying procedure so well) and the teacher knows that so I am really surprised that she didn't call me

Ya but the week before my trip I will be bored and sad because all my DIS friends will be in WDW and I will be here on the DISboards all by myself

I am sure you will be so busy you won't be able to give it a second thought...us on the other hand... we will be searching for our 7 step program to get us back to the normal world!
