Mom hospitalized on Saturday UPDATE page 2

I just got back from a mini vacation to news that my mom was in the hospital this weekend. Some of you that read my colon cancer thread know that I am worried my mom could have cancer. We have been having a heck of a time getting her in to a doctor because of scheduling and over the weekend she became so weak and deathly pale that my sisters rushed her in. She has lost 20# in two months because she can't eat anything (constant diarrea) and I am worried sick. She is finally going in for a colonoscopy today (Tuesday) and I am on pins and needles thousands of miles away! Not sure if we will know anything today or not, but if you can spare some good thoughts for my mom I would greatly appreciate it.

Debi, I will keep you and your mom in my prayers. I do hope it is nothing serious to worry about. I know with my grandmother she had similar symptoms (not for quite as long) and we were worried about cancer as well. It just turned out to be diverticulitis (sp?) and for a 91 year old lady, she is doing great! Keep us posted.
