Yep thats what I heard everytime we sat down to eat! What a slacker I was, good thing my son is a "dis'er" in training!!

Alrighty, a little background info...
Who are we?
ME- Mom, wife and Disney nut, plus trip planner junkie! :lmao:
DH- Dad, My hubby and Disney 1/2 nut, oh & never plans a thing, just goes with the flow ;)
DS- Kiddo, My son and Disney nut in training! Loves to help me plan & makes sure I take food pic's for the Dis' :thumbsup2
DM- Grandma, My mom & Disney nutter! She is my "trip planning" sounding board! :goodvibes
Also along on this trip we brought my neighbor and her nephew..
DN-Aunt and Disney lover :)
DNn- the nephew, and typical 6 yr old boy :rolleyes1

Ok so lets get started!! A couple things that happen on our dining adventure...
We stayed at POFQ and I thought we would be in Downtown Disney more than we were...we only cancelled/changed one "table" reservation...we had "different" park counter service's than I thought we would... other than that things "mostly" went according to plan... :rolleyes1

Where we ate...
Yak-n-Yeti
Teppan Edo
Sci Fi
Crystal Palace
T-Rex
Donalds Tusker House Breakfast
ESPN
Ohana's Lilo & Stitch Breakfast
Kringla Bakeri
Cosmic Ray's
Boulangerie Patisserie
Sunshine Seasons
Sunset Ranch Market
Flame Tree BBQ
Food Courts at French Quarter & Riverside

I think that covers it! :worship:

I'm in for the report! We're staying at POFQ in February for free dining and I'm curious about the "not being in DTD as much as you thought" thing!

For picture loading - are you putting your pics on PhotoBucket first? You can't insert them directly into your posts here. Sorry if you already knew this - let me know if you need more detailed instructions! :goodvibes

Funny!

I was glancing through the reports and noticed your title and wondered why I was writing a dining review that I didn't know about!!! :rotfl2:

My kids, Ty who is 11 and Skye who is 6, have really grabbed on to the picture taking thing and setting up the food in the meals they were purchased with, etc... They would remember most of the time when I would not!!!

looking forward to your review!

A kid after my own heart! I had my nieces trained on that too...NO ONE touches a thing until after the picture is taken and looks good :thumbsup2

Ok I'm going try this as a test...

When you have the photo that you want to use, copy the "IMG Code" link and paste it into your message. It looks funky to you as you're typing, but will show up fine when you post.

He loved them, as we all did! The were hot, crispy and yummy! They hit the spot, as this was the start of my son not feeling well all trip(sinus issues:sick:), he needed something on his belly to take some meds...it did the trick!

The little guy in the group said no to dessert...I know, I know but what can ya do, some peoples kids :lmao:

So that was our First Day Lunch at Yak-n-Yeti!

6 of us and 6 Thumbs up, from our starter to dessert everthing was great! Our server also was wonderful as well, she pleasent, helpful and on the ball! We will be going here back for sure! :goodvibes

Next Up: Late Nite Dinner from POFQ Food Court~

Sorry to hear you were sick :sick:and I hope you are feeling better.
Thanks for a great update and now I'm excited to try Yak and Yeti for the first time. I'm ordering the Pork Egg rolls, Baby back ribs and friend wonton...so glad I read good reviews.
My son would love the fried rice but my son doesn't eat dessert too...he'll eat fresh fruits but no cookie (my mom laughs b/c I'm a junk food eater and he eats so healthy...:rotfl:) I have to convience him to eat ice cream so he can try to gain some weight per doctor request but he says not today.

whew..it worked!!

Since i'm on a roll, here is dinner!!

We spent the day in Animal Kingdom and headed back to POFQ for the evening to swim and just relax, this is such a laid back, pretty resort you cant help but feel relaxed here!
Anyway after a couple hours of playing in the pool my mom and I headed to the Food Court and picked up dinner for us, my hubby & son, to take back to the room. Our travel mates stayed at the pool and i'm guessing picked up something later to snack on.

My Hubby and I shared the Fried Chicken $9.49
Disneysept2010163.jpg

Wow this was alot of food!! You got two sided, plus corn bread! We chose the Mashed Potatos & the Rice, my goodness that was some tasty rice!! You got two big pieces of chicken as well, pleanty for two!

My DM had Chicken Quesadilla $8.39
Disneysept2010169.jpg

She liked this, and I have to say in the "line if duty" for you guys I had a bite and I agree it was quite tasty!

DS had Bacon Double Cheeseburger $8.59
Disneysept2010167.jpg

He liked this but man was it big, he maybe ate half! Daddy tried it and said it was good as well.

We also picked up these babies..Three Beignets $2.99
Disneysept2010165.jpg

One of the big perks to staying here...so good!

My DM & DS got these...
Disneysept2010166.jpg

Disneysept2010168.jpg

They saved these for Breakfast!

It was nice to eat the room and unwind from our first day, plus everything was hot & tasty! Honestly we werent expecting much from the food court but I have to say we all really liked what we had, so much that one other evening we ate here again!

Four of us ate and 4 Thumbs Up!! Not a bad start to our dining adventure!!

Next up:Teppan Edo

Thanks I am, but it took a while! Its all good now :goodvibes
the thing is, this little guys is a "sugar nut" most times its a fight for him to eat dinner and not right to dessert! ;)

Ok so for anybody reading along...we are on Disney Day 2!!!

We drove from PA this time :rolleyes1 yeah not the best idea, not the worst just not something you want to do all the time!
We left PA Thursday evening and stayed over friday night right outside WDW, so keep in mind we have been together since thursday, its now Sunday.....

And things took a shakey turn today :sad2: Our DN & the DNn see things different than we do, shall we say...not that its a bad thing, just different. I will admit, my son is an only child and while he is spoiled he doesent run free willy nilly all over the place, while your eating dinner :headache:, while you are in a crowd at WDW and he takes off...yes I thought many time I was going to have a heart failure :confused3
The kid would just go..he is 6... and she let him, her response "its Disney" um ok...so long story short, she went into a shop and left him with me, he took off, I yelled at him(when I caught him) and the tension kinda started...:rolleyes1 Again we just "parent" differently, she is his aunt maybe thats why, but if he were mine...:rolleyes1...

Ok so anyway, my nerves were shot this day and Picture taking was sadly taking a back seat, BUT I can tell you what we had!!

For Breakfast, we stopped at Sunshine Seasons and had 3 Adult Breakfast platter - Bacon, Eggs, sausage, and a biscuit $6.29 and 1 Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant $5.99

This was for my DH, DM, DS and Myself everything was good, we have had lunch here many times and have always enjoyed it and the same for breakfast it was hot and tasty! The potatos were spicy and really good it was alot of food but it was a later breakfast for us and not much was left :goodvibes

So the day went on and we met back up with DN & DNn and headed to dinner at Teppan Edo. My son picked this place in our planning as he loves the local place like this...

SO here is what we had...Sushi Sampler - tuna, yellow tail, shrimp nigiri, 2 piece California Roll $9.50

We started with this, and it was fresh and delish! I could have eaten this for dinner and been happy, my DH, DS & I shared this.

For our dinners...my DS had the Ueno - chicken breast and large shrimp $24.95
He enjoyed his dinner but Loved the show! Our chef was very entertaining, which of course at this kind of dinner can make or break it!

My DM & I had the Asakusa - sirloin steak and large shrimp $29.95
the shrimp were wonderful, but even ordered med the steak was tough and not so great.
DN had the Hotate - cold water sea scallops $23.95
she really seemed to enjoy her dinner and cleaned her plate so that was good sign!
DNn had the Tori - chicken breast $12.00
he did like it and even ate more than I thought he would, so again another plus!
Now my hubby had I believe a Tuna Steak, now I dont see it on All Ears Menus but I am 99% sure thats what he had, and he loved it! Raved about it honestly :goodvibes
So here are the two pics from there...
Disneysept2010063.jpg

and
Disneysept2010064.jpg

We also had desserts Chocolate Ginger Cake $5.50 for Me, DH & DM. Our Dn had the Green Tea Pudding $6.50
and the kids had vanilla ice cream! The chocolate Ginger Cake was good, wasnt sure about it but we were pleasently surprised! DN said her GT Pudding was very good as well. and the Vanilla ice cream, well was vanilla ice cream!

We really did enjoy our dinner here, with the exception of mine and moms steak. It helped calm the day down and we had and enjoyable evening in the World Showcase & stayed for Illuminations, which as always was wonderful!!

Tomorrow takes us to Disney Studios with some snackin & lunch at Sci Fi Cafe
