Mom/Daughter Spring Break trip to Disney & Sea World (UPDATE: Peru)

We go over to the Stingray petting and feeding area. We didn't feed them, but the price was the same as the dolphin feeding ($7).

Here's DD getting ready to ride the Manta rollercoaster. I sat this one out. Looks too scary for me! The wait was 30 minutes.

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/***********/kristi2010.jpg

One area that I was dissapointed in at Sea World, was that I could not stand in line with her, since I was not going to ride. I know they've got to have some kind of way to "chicken out" but at the entrance to the line, they have an employee standing there telling everyone to put their belongings in the provided lockers. So I was carrying our stuff, and she said for me to put it in the locker, and I told her I was not riding, that's when she said I couldn't stand in line. This was really the only major ride she went on, so it wasn't a really big deal, but I really didn't want her standing in line without me (even though DD didn't have a problem with it).

We saw flamingos!

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/***********/kristi2011.jpg

We went back to the hotel for a break and freshen up! It was hot! It seemed more hot at Sea World than Disney World. I guess because almost ALL of SW is outside, yet at DW, there's more shade.

After a couple hours of rest, we go back to SW.

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/***********/kristi2095.jpg

We went to the Clyde and Seamore Sea Lion Show. It's a really cute, comedy sea lion show.

I didn't take many food pics, but this one of the meals we got. DD had a "make your own" wrap thing, and I had the kids meal hot dog and fries, which comes in a collectible bucket and cup. Along with our strawberries and chocolate!!

Then there's a night time whale show: Shamu Rocks

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/***********/kristi2102.jpg

I didn't really take many pictures of that, though. There was also a night time fireworks/water show that was really neat! And that was all for our 1st day at Sea World.

Up next: Sea World Day 2

Yeah, we sat pretty high up, because I was afraid to get my camera & camcorder wet!

Day 2: Sea World

We went back a second day because with purchase of the ticket, you get a second day free. And with as many shows that they have, I don't see how you could get it all done in one day.

Next up was the Allure Show. These pictures don't do it justice, though. The show was great, but my camera didn't take good pics in there.

Next up: Chapter 7: Magic Kingdom!!

Wow, what beautiful pics! I had no idea that Sea World has so much to do!! I loved seeing the Stingrays and turtles...too cute!!

Chapter 7: Magic Kingdom

We went to MK on Wednesday. Still can't believe we made it from open to close, without leaving for a break or anything. It was a tiring, but fun filled day. Being Spring Break, it was crowded, but not horrible.

We arrived at 8am, with EMH being at 7am. MK closed at 12 midnight.

We stayed close by around the castle area for a while because we had a 8:40am ADR for Crystal Palace.

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/***********/kristi4001.jpg

Gotta remember where we parked!

We took pics with Pinnochio and Pluto. They were at the front as you enter the park. We were excited on this trip because we got several pics with characters we never have before.

We rode the Adventure of Snow White ride because it was only a 5 minute wait, and that's about all the time we had until our ADR!

Coming up: Breakfast at Crystal Palace

Wow, y'all must have hit it just right! Very cool that you got to meet Pinoccho! I can't wait to hear about Crystal Palace!

Yeah, I was surprised at the "emptiness" feel around the castle area, even though it did get really crowded throughout the day, this was my favorite time of the day!

We had a ADR at Crystal Palace at 8:40. We had a short wait when we arrived. I loved this picture of the view from the "porch"

We loved it here! The breakfast was really good, and there was great character interaction, and it didn't feel rushed:

I also loved this picture. I was getting a pic of Tigger, and he walked right up to me really close to the camera:

Pooh actually came back around for a second time:

Awwww, I love CP!!! Pooh is my fave, so I love to eat there! The close up of Tigger is too cute!! Hmmm...I'm guessing you made it out of CP just in time to meet the Mayor???

Oh I see I was a naughtly lurker!

I love that you make the sacrifices so you can do fun things with your daughter who is absolutely beautiful! I am totally sold on mother-daughter trips!

You take beautiful pictures! I wish I could figure out what I am doing wrong with my camera!

Bummer about Manta - I don't know why they wouldn't let you take your stuff. The aquariums on the way are very cool and worth seeing even if you do not ride. Even if you cahnged your mind and wanted to ride and were willing to take the risk, there are some nice baskets you could leave your stuff in.

Madeline and I enjoyed Manta quite a bit.

I love the Tigger photo! Too cute!

I can't wait for the next installment.

Hmmm...I'm guessing you made it out of CP just in time to meet the Mayor???

Nope, didn't meet the mayor.........

Oh I see I was a naughtly lurker!

Yes, I think I have a few "naughty lurkers", all my lurky lurkers! :rolleyes1

I love that you make the sacrifices so you can do fun things with your daughter who is absolutely beautiful! I am totally sold on mother-daughter trips!

Thank you! I love our trips. We've went a couple of times with others and it just isn't the same as our one on one time. We can do what we want without worrying about what anybody else wants to do!

You take beautiful pictures! I wish I could figure out what I am doing wrong with my camera!

I LOVE taking pictures! I have a Canon Powershot camera. Nothing fancy, but I love my camera. I also bought me a camcorder this year, so I took a lot of video, so my daughter helped with the pics this time.

Aaaaaah, so you're keeping us in suspense, huh??;) Can't wait to find out what it was!

We finish our breakfast at Crystal Palace and come out just in time for......

After the parade, we head to Tomorrowland. We rode Stitch and it was only a 5 minute wait, then Monsters Inc. with a 10 minute wait.

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/***********/kristi4125.jpg

Then it was time for Space Mountain with a 60 minute wait! This was the longest we had to wait for anything during our whole trip. We loved the new theming and the game boards that you can play while waiting in line.

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/***********/kristi4127.jpg

We stroll through ToonTown, but didn't really do anything there because it was getting crowded by this time.

Next: Time for lunch and another parade!!!!

Just joining in on the fun. I love all of your pics, especially the SeaWorld ones. I'm also a single mom so I know how it is to scrimp and save for a vacation. We went to SW for the first time last Sept and had a blast. I also sat out Manta while my kids rode, you're right it's too hot in the waiting area outside the ride, I kept going into the aquarium nextdoor but was afraid that I would miss them coming out if I lingered too long. We also ate breakfast at CP during our trip...I love Pooh... he & Piglet had a play fight over me, it was hilarious.

I can't wait to read about the rest of your trip.
