Day One Thursday, March 9th
Arrival, Lost at TTC & MGM
Cast of Characters:
DS 10- 3rd trip to Disney
DS 7- 2nd trip to Disney
Me 36 lots of trips!!!!

It was just me and the two boys for now as DH would be flying in tomorrow (Fri) eve. as he needed to be in school today and Fri. The kids and I, However, had the days off and couldn't wait to meet my family DM, DF, DSis & DN (nephew) not sure if that's a real dis term. DBIL (brother in law), not sure there either, would also be arriving on Friday eve. Here we go:

Our 6:45 a.m. flight from Newark airport left on time and we enjoyed every minute anticipating what was in store for us upon our arrival. We exited our plane and headed to the little tram-shuttle thing. I LOVE this thing. I think of it as a preview to Disney's monorail!! :thumbsup2 Made our way down to Magical Express. All checked in and headed to Poly in no time. We enjoyed the bus ride and loved our driver. We slowed down to look for gators while passing over a bridge, and did a ceremonial cheer and clap routine when we passed through the arch of "WDW" :cheer2: (I would have done this myself, anyway, but it was nice to have company)

Poly was the first stop on the bus and check in was a breeze. We were in Rapa Nui 3rd Floor! The beautifully rehabbed room was immediately in front of us upon exiting the elevator and we loved the close location to the TTC. We explored the room (found a towel animal duck in the bathroom, yay!! ) while we waited for my family (they live in Florida, by the way) to arrive! We waited...and waited....and waited...and waited...and...finally!!! A call!!! They were lost!! They ended up parking in the TTC and walking to the Ceremonial House. So, let's get this straight...Fla. residents, 2 AP holders, and they couldn't FIND the POLY???? :confused3 So we walked down and picked them up and walked back down to our room. As we enter the building, my DF says "We walked right past this building once, already", Yup, Dad, you did... :sad2: So, finally we're all together and after chatting, snacking relaxing and diapering DN we were off to the bus stop to MGM! I had very little faith we would hit any big thrillers as it was already 1 pm, way past my scheduled itinerary arrival time! When we arrived at MGM I immediately headed toward the photopass photographer, had several shots taken and received our photopass card :woohoo: I looked around and noticed something...it wasn't very crowded...certainly they all must be hiding somewhere-probably on Rock'nRollercoaster..which is where we headed first (saw more photopass people on the way) Grabbed FP's for TOT (20 min. wait) and headed to Rn'R. DS10 did this one alone as I'm not an upside down kinda girl. 15 min wait ...and he LOVED it! I grabbed a set of drumsticks for DS7 (darn Santa brought him a drum set this year) who had gone to see Beauty show w/ others. We had DS10's photo taken (by photopass of course) in front of the big guitar to commemorate his bravery and independence. At this point I am still wondering where everyone is hiding. We haven't found them yet, haven't even spotted a cheerleader! We decided to look in Walt Disney One Man's Dream. I had never seen this before. I figured DS10 would be bored and this would end up being a quick breeze through. Wrong!!! We ended up being over 30 minutes and watched the movie! DS10 was enthralled, making me look at things 2 and 3 times! Met up with rest of group, grabbed my DS7 and headed to GMR. Hadn't done this since my honeymoon. DS7 loved the shootout scene, DS10 loved the jewel scene, and I loved the Wizard of Oz scene!! A great trip to the movies!!
Next DS7 wanted to shop (this quickly became a habit of his on this trip, keep reading...) we quickly spent $100 on hats, sunglasses, pins, & a plush Minnie(DD7 has a plush Mickey back at the hotel who is lonely). By now the parade was ending and we headed back to TOT to use those FP's!! I had visions of me and my 2 DS's on this ride together. We had a great time on the plane, just the 3 of us, and I knew this would be the same. BUT, (you knew there was a but, right?)DM & Dsis spoke up and scared DS's out of riding, and then took DS's over to Playhouse Disney! :furious: Not wanting to go alone, I saved the FP's for my scrapbook to show the ride we "almost" rode together!
Well, the 3 am wake up call had taken its toll, and we were ready to relax and eat! (another thing that quickly became a habit on this trip). We say goodbye to MGM, as we will be avoiding this park due to the Cheerleading Competition there this weekend. We head over to Poly, ate @ Captain Cooks, yum! DDP is awesome! DS's went swimming. DF and DM returned to their hotel (POP), and the rest of us were all tucked in and asleep as soon as we saw who got voted off American Idol!!

Coming Up: Day 2 Friday MK
Finally my family realizes they need me!!!

Notes for next time: Must do TOT
Spend more time in this park

hey, welcome to the DIS,

Any abbreviation works for me, so post anyway you want.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

Sounds like a fun time! I finally rode the TOT this trip. It was not as bad as I had expected, but I wasn't volunteering to ride twice.

Day #2 Friday March 10th MK.

A little background info. for day #2:

I book the Disney trips!
I save the $ for the Disney trips!
I do the research on the Disney trips!
I plan the Disney trips!
I am known in my family for my Disney itineraries.
I am known at my job for my Disney itineraries.
I email copies of the itinerary to all parties involved (taking their interests into acct.) before the trip! When my 1/2 brother who has lived in Florida his whole life, calls and says he's meeting us on our vacation in Disney, I promptly email him the itinerary and say "find us". He does and it always works out fine! Our last trip my DF told everyone that the trip was great except that he wet his pants 6 times because I forgot to put bathroom breaks in the itinerary and since they weren't in there, we weren't allowed to go! Enough said!!

Characters Today

DS10
DS7
me 36
DM pretty old
DF even older, blind in one eye, hard of hearing
Dsis, overprotective mom of one yr. old
DN 1yr. old

First full day today and sis and I were awakened at 6:30 am by our internal "we're in Disney World" alarm clocks! Kids woke up soon after and we fought over who was going to answer the phone @7 when Mickey and Stitch called to wake us up. Showered, had bkfast in room, answered the knock at the door around 7:30, (DM & DF arrived from POP) They didn't get lost this time!! The day is looking good!!! :cheer2: We walk to TTC and catch the monorail to MK! How easy this is, I love it  We are at the gates long before opening and I see lots of people..Hmmmmm. maybe this is where "they" are all hiding!! My lovely sis then points out the giant "Welcome Cheerleaders" banner hanging over the entrance. Thanks! She knows I've been having nightmares about these perky, cute, little things getting in my way!
At about 8:50 the singers are singing...the train is coming...the tears are welling...I hold up DS7 so he can see...and the characters are there waving, dancing, the pixie dust flies and away we go...Tears in my eyes, I take DS10 by the hand and head to Space Mtn. for FP. Rest of the family heads for Dumbo. We get our Fp and walking a bit slower now, head over to Pooh. We get there just as Dsis and Dn, DM and DS7 are getting off and heading toward us. Dsis is ecstatic that they were first in line for the 2nd flight of Dumbo :thumbsup2 I congratulated her on her accomplishment, the whole time thinking "and yesterday you couldn't even find the Poly" :rotfl2: We all enjoy Pooh together and then we're off to Peter Pan. Once again, no lines, no waits! I was very excited about Peter as we had missed it last trip. I rode w/ DS7 and embarassed him completely as I sang "I can fly...I can fly...I can fly..." through pretty much the entire ride. Next we headed over to BTMRR, on the way Dsis, (AP holder) comments, Wow, this is great it's 9:45 a.m. and we're heading on our 4th ride----Ahhhhh see.....you do need me...and...my itineraries...bathroom breaks, or no bathroom breaks!! ;)Since she was so nice, I let everyone stop for a bathroom and drink break before our next ride! So we convince my mom that BTMRR is a kiddie coaster and we climb aboard. DF sat w/ DN on a nice shaded bench by Peco's Bills. Loved BTMRR, I rode w/ Mom, who pretty much screamed the whole ride, in between asking, is it over yet??? Jumped off and headed to Splash to grab FP. That done it was about 11 am so we headed for a relaxing lunch at Peco's Bills. We had visited here last trip and sure enough enjoyed it again this time. After lunch we head back to Fantasyland, stopping at bathrooms, once again (see how nice I am) :rotfl: While waiting for everyone to finish who do we see but Jesse and Woody. DS's are off to the autograph line. Not much of a wait and we headed to IASW. Two stories to tell here before I can go on........
#1. About 2 weeks before we left, itineraries are done, all ready to go, DS7 says "Mom, we're going on the singing doll ride, right?" Now what could I do? I hadn't planned on this, as we hit it last trip, but I didn't want my legacy to be "The Disney Itinerary Nazi", but who I am I kidding, like it's not already???, so I put it in at the last minute. Alas, we are riding the boat with the singing dolls.
#2. I went to Disney World and DisneyLand as a child several times w/ DF and DM. All of our photo albums from these trips contain about 6 pictures of family, characters and various sites in the parks, the other 94 are of the inside of IASW! My DF has some obsession w/ pictures on the inside of this ride. O.K. stories over now back to the ride.
Not 2 minutes into the ride I hear my DF fumbling around in the seat behind me! Then the unthinkable happens....the flash goes off-one to the right, one to the left, 1 straight ahead, and another, another, another....(remember, now he's blind in one eye) I look back at DM and start laughing...As the flash continues to go off in repeated 1 second intervals, I laugh harder. I hear DM laughing hysterically behind me, and tears are now streaming down my face... Now DF has no idea we're hysterical a) it's dark & he can't really see anyway b) he's hard of hearing & can't hear us laughing. Now DS7 is laughing too, he's not sure why, but he's laughing right along w/ us. As we exit the ride I tell DM how happy I am that they finally converted to a digital camera now and DF didn't have to change film in the middle of the ride. Just think of all the pictures he would have missed....More hysterics...I'm sure all the other people on our boat were wondering what they missed on IASW that is so funny!! Well now we head back toward the daylight to see Mickey's Philharmagic and DS10 comments "Wow, Mom, look at all those people in line for Peter Pan "(40 min. wait, we walked on earlier),My reply was simply "Aren't you glad I'm your mommy and not one of those mommies or you'd be waiting in that long line too!!" I got a big smile for that one! (Appreciated once again  )
Got right into Mickey's PHM. We all loved it again! Not sure how 3-D it was for DF (blind in one eye, remember?), but he was chuckling, so all was not lost! After this the boys and I headed to Main Street to do some shopping, Dad headed to a nice bench to people watch, Mom and Sis headed to Barber shop with DN. Did the whole Photopass thing on Main Street of course and then off the Emporium we went. We acquired two pins, and a stuffed Pluto. (DS7 is creating a collection). We meet up w/ DF and help him people watch. We see the trolley singers, 7 pairs of crocs, and a lot of people waiting in line to get autographs! I briefly think about trekking over to Buzz to get some FP's for later tonite, but my tired feet wouldn't hear of it! My SPace and Splash ones were going to have to do! I convinced DS7 to head over to the short Pluto line (his legs were tired too) and get his picture with real and stuffed Pluto! He did and it was great. Pluto took the stuffed Pluto and rocked him and swayed him, cuddled him and danced with him. The glow on my DS's face was priceless. There just happened to be a PP guy there so we got that picture added and hopped over to watch DN get his haircut. It was great to watch. Lots of stickers, lots of laughs and a little pixie dust! He got his ears and we were on our way to the monorail and headed back to the Poly! I was amazed at the swarm of people just entering the park at 1:15 pm as we were leaving!

Coming Up: Afternoon at the Poly: Ohana means brother??
MK eve
