Okay how many are hearing this today? My son (12) is driving me crazy. But I'm not giving in.;) :headache:

Ooops!! I gave in! My DD (8) got her bike today! Only because we went to go get it and there was no where for me to hide it!! But she's been bugging me for the past week!

At our house you get to open just one on Christmas eve night...but only if you want to. DD14 is not interested in opening early. If it was allowed DS12 would take her turn too!!

Happy Holidays everyone!

When I was growing up I was always allowed to open one "out of town" gift on Christmas eve. We've kind of continued that with our kids, they'll get new nightgowns tonight and open their gifts (one each) from my mom.

HA! I am threatening them with making breakfast and eating before opening gifts if they don't calm down! Hee-hee...
Ah, so much POWER us parents have this day.:p

My kids were allowed to open their gift from DS's best friend. I opened a gift from my friend that I job share with (a beautiful Longaberger casserole dish) and I had DH open his gift, a digital camera, so he can use it tomorrow morning! Other than that... no dice, gotta wait until tomorrow morning!

Ellen,

My 2 are 15 & 12 and when I suggested new pj's they just laughed at me. I remember those days fondly. All scrubbed and new pj's waiting for Santa.

My DD started at 9:00 this morning. But poor thing has to wait until tomorrow because DH is working 24hour shift and will not be home until then.

New pjs, stuffed animal and one present on Christmas Eve for us.
DS has since switched to a book in stead of a stuffie, but DD still insteads on the same things (she's 21 ;) ).

Happy holidays to everyone!

I've been hearing this for the past week. I keep telling them I haven't had time to shop! My youngest dd (almost 6) keeps telling me to go shopping because I am running out of time! :teeth: I know....bad mommy, shame on me;) , but I admit it's been kind of fun tormenting them! :)

We already had our Christmas this morning as our kids have two households. They knew last night we could open one after dinner and our walk, but we still had to listen to it most of the day yesterday. :p

I've been hearing this aalll day long!

"all our friends get to open one on Christmas Eve", " Everybody I know opens one gift on Christmas Eve", "some of my friends open all their gifts on Christmas Eve", etc, etc....

I told them that for each time they ask for the rest of the day(this was at about 3pm) that I would take one present from under the tree and save it for their birthday. They haven't asked since.

We have a tradition in our house that on Christmas eve they get to open one pesent and it has to be one from one of their brothers. (I have 4 boys). In fact my son who is stationed in Germany called me to ask who's present is he suppose to open tonight! LOL
