Made by Dr. Scholl's, I think, and comes in clear cello packages of approx. 4" X 4" squares. It is an adhesive cushioning material that is meant for prevention of blisters. May have other uses, too; I'm not sure. Should be available in any supermarket or drug store.

I adore moleskin! It's soft feltlike material on one side, sticky on the back. You cut it into whatever size pieces you need, and adhere them to any spots where your shoes might be rubbing, therefore preventing the dreaded blisters. I never wear closed toe shoes, so when I wear sneakers for a long time the tops of my 3 smallest toes tend to get sore . Before putting on the socks, I put a small piece of moleskin along the top of the toe, and presto, no blisters. You know when you're walking a lot sometimes even your favorite, most broken in shoes can start rubbing the wrong way? I always have an assortment of precut moleskin squares and rectangles, and at the first sign of irritation, on they go.

DS fractured his wrist 2 weeks before camp and of course he got a lovely DIS green cast, lol. They put moleskin on around his thumb area to prevent chafing and irritation. I bought a small roll of it and cut it into pieces and changed it as needed. Worked great!

Love that moleskin. I used a large patch on the side of my foot when my Tevas started to rub. No problem. They sell it with the foot care stuff at drugstores.

moleskin SAVED my poor feet....that stuff is awesome! Just don't forget the scissors so you can cut it to fit where you need it!! I didn't end up with any blisters AND it really helped to "pad" my bunion too. (more info than you probably wanted, huh?? )
