I've never tried moleskin before but I have heard that you can use it on "hot spots' when you are wearing socks and sneakers. Can you also do this when you are wearing sandals?? I plan on bringing sneakers and sandals b/c they rub my feet different ways and hopefully alternating them will reduce blisters. I've been wearing my sandals on some of my walks around home and noticed I develop hot spots which would surely become blisters if I walked in them all day and I wasn't sure if moleskin would work here too. Also should I spray on deodorant like some recommend if you wear socks and sneakers?? I'm really just trying to figure out the best way I can avoid most of my usual disney blisters.
Thanks.

Yes, I used Moleskins with my sandals with no problems.

I also have tried medicated spray on my feet and baby powder too. I don't know if they really helped (reduce moisture which causes the blisters) but I didn't get any blisters last trip!!!

I think the alternating shoes is KEY. We were in WDW for 11 days in January, and I had 2 pair of tennies, and switched them each day. No a blister to be found.

I snuck to WDW for 2.5 days prior to a business trip in April, and only brought 1 pair of tennies, and got blisters the size of Rhode Island (well, I exaggerate, but you get the idea).

So I think if you alternate shoes, and put moleskin on your 'hot spots' you should be good as gold!

I think it depends on whether you are prone to blisters or not. A good broken in well fitting pair of shoes is the best thing you can take to reduce/eliminate your chances of getting blisters. We were at WDW for 16 days in December and didn't get a single blister.

For me it doesn't matter how broken in my shoes are or how comfortable they are at home - I am the WDW blister queen. I get them so bad to the point of not being able to walk at all so I need to try whatever I can. I even saw a foot doctor about it a few years ago but there was nothign he could do to help medically, just suggested different socks and trying to keep my feet dry. I really hope that moleskin helps, I'm pretty familiar with where I get hot spots anyway so even before I leave in the mornings I'll know where it needs to go.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. While I'm at the drug store today I'll pick up some moleskin. Anyone recommend a deodorant to put on my feet too?

"Oder Eaters" has a good spray but I have this medicated spray I bring on vacation. It's in a blue can with a red cap. It's a medicated (minty) foot spray and it really refreshes my feet. I spray it before I leave the hotel and before I go to bed!

I also heard taking some pain killers each morning helps...the ones that prevent inflamation?? I always forget which pain killer that is. I've also heard soaking your feet each night does wonders too!!

And change what you wear around each day as well.

This past October was the first WDW trip with no blisters. I brought Moleskins, the medicated spray, baby powder, and walking sandals (2 kinds) and switched them around and no blisters!!

Good luck!

Ever since my first trip to Disney, when I got terrible blisters, I use Moleskin.

My toes overlap on both feet, so I basically wrap each toe in moleskin every morning before I put on my shoes. That's where I got blisters the first trip to Disney.

So by putting on fresh moleskin each morning, where you typically get blisters, you can avoid them all together!
