I have a cloth shower liner that I let too many weeks (months) go by without taking down & washing. Most of it looks okay, it's just the bottom hem that's brown with what I guess is mold. I've tried washing it but that didn't help. I have it soaking in vinegar today but in case it still looks bad when I get home from work, does anyone have a way to get it looking better?

Hoping that Thanksgiving Day company won't look in my shower, I guess I can take it down tomorrow for the day.

Happy, safe Thanksgiving everyone.

My mom always used to wash the shower curtain in hot water with bleach and she would always throw in an old towel for scrubbing action (I am assuming your curtain is not colored).

Have you tried OxyClean?

Or maybe soak it in a bucket of water and baking soda?

Good luck!

I hate to waste things, but sometimes it really is best to throw out the old and buy something new.

Bleach and fresh air do wonders for mold.

I use vinyl liners...didn't even know there were cloth ones.

I always used vinyl liners until a couple of years ago when I decided to spulrge on the cloth kind. I found the same problem. I think its hard water stains, but it could be mold. I find myself washing them more often, but I think I will go back to the vinyl.
