Just a hello update, to show I have been reading along and haven't forgotten this post!
I arrived at work an hour ago, driving through outer bands of TS Fay, which has dropped about 3 inches of rain so far, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up for the next day or two!
I've been designated the office Storm Watcher...so I have to make the call for everyone if we should close early and head home. Having gone through 3 sideswipes and 2 direct hits from hurricanes over a 2 year period, this wet tropical storm isn't anything we're worried about as far as damage...but if we can get everyone home a few hours early during a lull in the rain, it's better than sending everyone home on time during a massive squall line!
Signing off from Hurricane/Tropical Storm Land.
