Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

Ang, actually I did NOT pay taxes nor delivery fees either. I also got a cash discount. I haggle. I am good at it too!! I told my grandson that my motto is never to pay full price. The smart butt asked me if that would work on a pack of gum. :rotfl: Heck, as cute as he is he would probably get it free and I would be shocked if he does not try it. Cash is king, especially nowadays. I would be delighted to tuck you in, come on over!!:lovestruc

Mom2Evie, congratulations to your dancing diva! Nothing like getting flowers from your dad. Your house must look like a funeral parlor though. :cool1: Bet your 'vase' looks as good as some that they charge a fortune for too. :thumbsup2

janjandis, do not be so quick to congratulate me on all that work. Today's chore was to take down the brackets from an old curtain rod. Four screws involved. It took me nearly two hours, with lots of rest to keep from fainting and getting blood all over my fancy new RED chair. Oh for the days when 4 screws were easy. :rolleyes1 :scared1:

Timmie, lucky for you I took an extra look at your post as I just read the last part. Close call there gal!! I had a lot of 'stuff' too!!!:dance3:

Vixie, I cannot remember if I sent you my info or not. Please advise. Too much going on and too few brain cells available.

WIC. update please? I would hate for both of us to have to be no shows in September. It is the number one question on my list to ask the heart doctor. Important things first ya know?

Hugs and giggles and a bit of orneriness, SG

SG,
Lucky you the only deals I get are if I bring in a copy of a price on the net that I want to pay in store. I can't get a cash discount to save my life.

Ang, the days when you could automatically get a 6-10% for cash are long over. The cc companies do not charge as much as they used to. HOWEVER, by being nice (hard on me):rotfl: and saying that you like the item BUT it is a bit over your budget will often get you a bit closer in price. I generally buy secondhand and that saves even more but with the price of gas shopping around is downright expensive. Watching me buy a car is pure entertainment. :thumbsup2

SG, whose husband says she does not 'work'

Hey SG,

Yeah I know.....my trip is definately in question right now, or it is until I see the doctor next week. When I first saw her and she told me what was going on, she told me no when I brought up September. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that next week, the doctor will tell me that this has been a dream, and none of this has happened! ::yes:: :rolleyes1

I really hope you can make it down to WDW in September, SG. I'd really like to spend more than 2 minutes talking to you this year. Of course, I'd rather have you healthy enough to travel as opposed to just traveling.

I must say, over the last couple of weeks, I've really missed "chatting with" you guys on such a regular basis.

Mom2Evie, how sweet of you and I feel likewise. It is the people I meet down there that I enjoy the most. Because of my home situation I get scant occasion to talk to real live people, in person. :rotfl:

WIC, do not give up hope. You ARE traveling with family? If so you are ahead of the game as you will have folks to make it a tad bit easier on you IF you are willing and able to slow down a bit and smell the roses in the English garden etc. :lovestruc My sister who lives in St. Pete is retiring the end of August and she has promised to make crematory arrangements, if needed AND she does not have to pay the bill, if I should meet my sudden demise in the Promised Land of DW. :faint: I can think of worse ways to go and I am sure I can depend on you guys to call and give her the news. Maybe you could divide me up and sprinkle me in hidden corners and we could institute a new game, instead of Hidden Mickeys you could all visit the Slightly Goofy's.:scared1: :dance3:

SG, who is not throwing in the towel and is planning on being around to bug people for decades.

Oh I have no intention of throwing in the towel just yet! I'm fighting this with everything I've got right now! No one is taking my WD vacation from me this year....unless I'm dead! :rotfl2:

WIC, I know you are not the type to give up and you are far too smart to not know that many live with heart disease for decades. I was afraid that the tone of my email might get folks to thinking I was depressed since they could not see my ornery grin. :rotfl:

SG

again I am not getting notifications UGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!:furious:

Don't worry Wic everything will work out just fine you will see. As my doctor always tells me when my bp is high go on vacation and relax and enjoy yourself.:thumbsup2

I have found that you when you are feeling badly you have two choices. You can sit down and wallow in it OR you can go do something. The good thing about the later is that sometimes it takes your mind off things but I have to admit that the first feels good sometimes too! :thumbsup2

WIC, I think it is the worry of not knowing what is going on that is the hardest. I hope you get a full report soon and then are able to see what all can be done to make you feel better.

You're right on the mark SG, it's the "not knowing" is what keeps me up at night! I'm definately looking forward to Tuesdays appt.

My dear WIC, so are we, so are we!!

Hoping for a Marcus Welby diagnosis rather than a 'House" one. :thumbsup2

SG

Oh god, I definately don't want a House diagnosis!

I hear you HOWEVER if either one of us ever gets some strange disease we might want him as a doctor. Just hope he has plenty of chemicals in his system on that day. :thumbsup2

I love flawed characters. Heck, I are one!:scared1:

SG who is going to lay down a bit, yardwork today. Every time I lean over I feel like falling over. :faint:

This was posted on Timmy's thread and I thought you all should know. I just hope and pray this isn't true but all my prayers and love go out to Timmy!!

Timmy, I just wanted to bump this so that I could let your readers know about your dad's passing. Let's keep Timmy in our thoughts and prayers.

Oh man I love House. I would go back into the medical field if I could work with House. Can't get bored working with him. Might want to kill him on a daily basis but it would still be the most interesting job in the world. I love the way he just tells it like it is no beating around the bush.

my dad past away at 4:10PM, Monday and is being buried right now at 1AM our time. Which is 1PM at home.

Thank you for all your support and prayers. My last request is for us to pray for him for a safe journey and may he rest in peace.
