I have been doing a bit of research on the operation and it seems it is a bit more dangerous than I had thought so I have some thinking to do. Quality of life is more important than quantity and I sure do not have much quality at present.

All too often, research on the internet describes the extremes of something. Just like an episode of Dateline highlights the one surgery that went wrong, but barely mentions the 1 million that went well. I think I would talk more to your doctor about the risks and find a reputable medical source online to consult about this as well. Have you considered seeing another doctor, not for a second opinion on diagnosis but to ask questions about the surgery risks? Having an independent doctor's permission might help assuage any concerns you might have or cement your resolve to wait.
I did tell Shawn to keep his potato gun nearby though, because if I see that punk down my end of the street again, it's game on bucko!
and when I surf the net or look for any info I always consider the source. The doctors who do the surgery applaud it as perfect and those who offer alternative 'cures' try to scare you mite near to death. I always ride in the middle of the road and ALWAYS get second opinions. It is just too new to have much valid information.
One of them was due to graduate tonight, wonder if he'll get to now....I know when I went to school there, during senior week....you could't miss one rehearsal or function and if you did, you didn't get to graduate with your class!
I was seeing all of these yellowish things on our comforter (which is white) and thought maybe it was some of her treats that she had on the bed, or I even blamed our cat Sammy but no sadly it was Ms. Lyllith when we took her to the vet on Wed. there was one on her behind and I asked if they could look at it and the girl went to put in the trash and I said no could you look at it we are not sure what it is. She came back out and said oh thats a tape worm

Glad you had a great time.
