Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

Pooh, you are such a subtle woman. How could you ever expect Mike to know what you want? :rotfl: The scary thing is that men do not know what we want, even if we had it written in block letters across the tops of the cheerleaders at half time during the Super Bowl. :rotfl2:

Hugs and best wishes, SG/Linda

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :worship: :worship: :worship:   e I can't stop laughing and Mike is sitting on the couch going what why what are you laughing so hard for??

well at least your crazy bride isn't like the one I had thank god for that.

Oh I wanted to tell you all that she made the statement to my cousin that I was "unprofessional" by sending a letter registered to her to inform her that I was no longer her Bridal Consultant :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: Can you believe that one???

Huh.

Nothing more depressing then sitting at a work meeting waaay across the country and getting a text message from one's husband saying, "The fireworks are going off at Walt Disney World right now."

The stinker is in Orlando now- until the end of this month. He's been told, he can go to Universal, but if he steps foot onto WDW property, I'll kill him!

Thats not fair and you tell him that we all said so!!!:rolleyes1 I wish I could make the trip in March or even the now in Feb but just can't do it with this business right now to busy.

CR, that ain't no dude, that is the infamous "Hardest working man on earth, my husband, Tom. :rotfl:

He went and got me a drink refill that night. Was the first time in years and also the last. Witnesses bring out the best in him. Anyone want to come and move in with us? Please? Pretty please???:worship:

SG/Linda

Wow, Tom is so much younger than I remembered!!!!:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

janjandis, gee I have a lot of the same pictures you posted. grin

Here is a picture of another 'character' I met in September. Very memorable too. lol

SG/Linda

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I never posted any pix, Linda!!! I believe it was Cathryn Rose! Great pic of us though!!
I believe the "dude" is a fellow Disser, I think I met him that night.
Thats not fair and you tell him that we all said so!!!:rolleyes1 I wish I could make the trip in March or even there now in Feb but just can't do it with this business right now too busy.

No trip in March PoohBear?

I think that's unfair. If you were down there, do you think YOU'D be able to NOT go to WDW? I'd be shaking all over, and someone would have to tie me down to keep me away.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Think I care what's fair and not? I think it's unfair to be left home with three kids, cats, dogs, and pregnant- but HEY, no one cares that THAT is unfair! LOL! :)

He's okay with not going- he used to when he was single, go out for a day to the parks- but now, he's happy to go to Universal.

Morning gals,

Just dropping in to say hi before my busy weekend. I have a Bridal fair today and then tomorrow a Cake Tasting :woohoo: Can't wait for that one.

I need to ask everyone to post there dates again for WDW and where everyone is eating and times please maybe we can see if anyone has a match???

What does everyone think?

Me and Mike it all depends on if we get engaged cuz if we do the plan is to get married in Sept. and go to Europe for our Honeymoon so that means no Disney for me in Sept. but if we don't I will be changing our dates from 9-11 through -22 to earlier so I can be with everyone>>>

DisneyAprilFool, you are totally right that life is not fair. For myself, I am glad it is not when I think of all the things I deserve that I did not get. :rotfl2: I do think you might have made a mistake in not letting your hubby wander onto DW property. A small taste might have made him hungry for more and he would have insisted that you immediately start planning a family trip. :confused3

janjandis, I know. I was just yanking your chain about me not remembering you. Tom will be 74 this year and for the first time in our marriage he has started looking his age. Retirement can be a very bad thing if you do not have any interests. I no longer call him 'Old Man' cause it ain't funny any more. :sad2:

Pooh, for a woman who does not have a ring YET, you sure do have the other plans all worked out and nicely I might add. Hooray on getting the exclusive AND for being so very 'professional' in sending the letter registered. It is always good to have proof. :thumbsup2

Mom2Evie, you would have to tie me UP to get me to go to Universal.

wic0721, did you have trouble getting enough singles for the bachelorette party? Did you survive the party??? :worship:

I have a date with a good looking, intelligent and much younger man this evening. My youngest grandson is coming to spend the night while his parents party (bowling). We talk world events and he has been giving me a synopsis of his report on Massachusetts. I am in awe of the wide variation of famous folks he chose to talk about from Ben Franklin to Dr. Suess. He is interesting. Much better company than I usually have.

SG/Linda

Linda- I'M the meany who won't let us go right now! LOL! We have to pay a hospital bill when this new baby is born that will be an arm and a leg (not literally- thank goodness!) and we're trying to pay OFF our debt- not add into it! LOL! And WDW would DEFINITELY add to it!

DisneyAprilFool, that seems more than a fair trade, a beautiful child for a lifetime versus a vacation, even to WDW. You are wise and I know how hard it is to be wise but it does pay off long term. I hope that you get to your goal a bit quicker and if you could use any suggestions I am the 'cheapskate' er I mean "Financial Wizard" to help you. :rotfl:

SG/Linda

who once remodeled a room and furnished it for $50 and then entered a Family Circle decorating contest and won $50 for 3rd place. :thumbsup2

Wow! $50? You ARE the cheapskate of the year :D LOL!

I'm just trying to keep my head on straight and get through this year. Now, if $1500 falls into my lap somehow, we'll go to DisneyLand- but ya know- it's bittersweet going to DL when I know $1500 would put us so much closer to WDW!

I'm hoping to get out there in September of 2009- for my Bub's 4th birthday since we were there for his 2nd in 2007. But we'll see :) The money tree I planted in the back yard just isn't growing as good as I'd like!

DisneyAprilFool, my $50 room was done nearly 30 years ago when I frequented the auction house down the street while I furnished this huge house. BTW, the house cost me $21.5K. That was a bargain even back then and it has proven to be the best investment I have ever made. Good bones, just needed some TLC.

You should be getting more than $1500 back from that windfall tax rebate (which just happens to come right before elections) Us poor retired folks will only get $600 but since we did not pay nary a dime in Federal taxes it is not too bad. I am enjoying being 'poor' after paying out tens of thousands of dollars of taxes for decades. They just do not count much of our income so we manage to make ends meet. :rotfl2: If only our state was as kind to us as the Federal government.

Do you keep a record of what you spend and where? It is amazing how those 'little' expenses add up.

SG/Linda

Our windfall, alas, will go towards the furniture we bought a year ago- we're on one of those 'no payments for 2 years' type of deals and if we don't pay it off BEFORE those two years are up, we'll end up eating a huge interest charge (like $2500)! So I'm TRYING to be responsible (Oh goodness- it's not easy!) and pay that off, we have money for the hospital in savings right now, I just paid off $10,000 in credit card debt this past month (tax refund, my Hubby's work picked up) and I'm TRYING to NOT charge anything else (we only have one physical card now- the last one I'm paying down- the others have been cut up and tossed- INCLUDING my crappy Dis Chase Visa- man, the interest rate on that card was RIDICULOUS!).

I know where most of our money goes- eating out. That's why we loved free dining so much this past September ;) LOL. And we don't need to eat out so much! Someone mentioned that at the beginning of the month, they pull out X amount of dollars for dining out and that's all they use- so when it's up, it's up. I think I'm going to try that come March- pull out $100. That's enough for one restaurant type meal and 2 drive-thrus. That's MORE then enough for our family (although typically- we go through drive-thrus two-three times a week- isn't that HORRIBLE? We're killing ourselves here!).

I'm thinking... Maybe we'll try to swing 2009. Do Bubba's 4th birthday and the baby's 1st at WDW.

WOO HOO! Copied from the budget board...

Funny, how one man's hand-me-downs can be another person's treasure ;)

I've always wanted a German shrunk- it's just a big wall unit with glass shelves and cabinets... But we are paying off our debt this year and I'm sure out of all the things we could spend $2500 on- a shrunk was far off in our future...

Well, a good friend of our families had moved out of their own very large house into a retirement community and her son had then moved into her original house. And his son's girlfriend has been complaining about everything that was left behind (loads of the huge Christmas decorations for the front yard, the shrunk, etc).

My Mom called me today and asked- would I like the shrunk in our friend's house?

YES!!!

So now I'm the very proud owner of a four piece German shrunk- it is gorgeous and in great condition. I have just spent a lot of time dusting it off, and placing our own stuff in it- front and center is our two Disney bears, My Pal Mickey and the photo album of our honeymoon in Disney World!

I CANNOT IMAGINE NOT wanting this wall unit! It's GORGEOUS!

I am sooo happy :) LOL!

DisneyAprilFool, we are a very wasteful society and the thing that is wasted the most, IMO, is not the money but the time we spend earning the money to pay for the 'stuff'. Our landfill has a building where you can deposit things that still have some life in them. Given a choice I would rather have an old solid wood piece of furniture that needs some TLC than to buy something new and shiny with payments and a limited life span. My furniture has character, like me. :rotfl:

I congratulate you on being wise at a young age. It will stand you in good stead. :wave2:
