But.... (you guys ready for this....) Jimmy (husband) agreed to splitting the stay at a (YOU READY??!?!?!)

DELUXE!!!

So, we're throwing idea's around. Im pulling for the Contemporary!

I'm jealous enough about the bounce back trip, but to know that it's going to be at a deluxe resot just makes me green with envy. I'm stil working on my hubby to let us go back this calendar year. He was us to take a year off Disney since we were there twice in 2007. Sigh... I might just have to DO IT without him. It's my money. He spends money on his ace car, I ought to be able to spend the same on things of my choice... DISNEY!!!

So what was it like starting spin class? I've joined Gold's Gym and have yet to brave a spin class. I'll kill myself on the eliptical though. I'm trying to shave off about 30-35 pounds, but I haven't set a goal date on my calendar yet. Best of luck with your goals!

it was an achieee start for me... but after the 3rd class you'll be fine.. it is fine but intimidating at 1st... made me want to quit the 1st time!

I hope you can go to Disney this year.

DH and I agreed years ago that Disney is the way I like to spend my fun money every year and he has his choice of how he spends his. We each put a set amount away from each paycheck that we pay ourselves after we pay the bills and such and this is what we use for fun money. I chose how to spend mine and vice versa. I never get any complaints about vacation after we agreed on this plan. Maybe an agreement like this would help you?

Angelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa G'evening!!! Sorry Peeps.... I got a new PC!! yessssssssss and I got time in my handssss so where will you see me ?? here bugging each and every one of you!! And no I did not had any coffee today.. NADA .. Zilch!!!! I started the day with church... food shopping... cooked food for tomorrow and took a 15 minute nap.. and now I am checking on you guys again before I iron some of my scrub uniform!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....

I have a lot of fun with just Danny and I. My husband is looking forward to finally going again - he hasnt been since Sept 2006 - but the 2 January's and the 1 September with just my son and I were really wonderful.

Well, we do have our own "mad" money and it goes into our indivdual savings accounts. He spends his on his race car. Somehow, I use mine to pay for our vacations, go figure. This isn't something HE'S making me do, it's just what I do fo some reason I can't explain. It was my money that sent daughter & I to Disney this past September for Free dining. CathryRose, its important to know that this trip was without him. I'd been planning on heading back in January of 2009, but he wants to go April 2009. I'm hoping to go back in September again, with my daughter. If only I can convince him that missing 2 days of the 2nd week of 2nd grade won't permanently damage her educational growth.

This year we're doing Spring Break in Gatlinburg http://www.mountainchalets.com/Rentals/unit_HILL.aspx and a July week on the beach in Florida. http://www.obrealty.com/RentalProperties.cfm?Rentals_ID=14 We'll have loads of fun, I'm sure. It just won't be as geat as a week at Disney.

I half jokingly mentioned a quick tip to Disney next weekend since we all have President's day off. He made it plain that he's pretty tired of me asking lately. Oh well, if we do take a year off, I'll save up extra money this whole year. We could stay 8 or 9 m=days, or even better, upgrade to a moderate instead of Pop os ASMo. Well, that's what I have to do right now.... see the positive in not getting to go to Disney in 2008.

That's for your good thoughts though. I'll just whine about it off and on to you guys until I start planning the April trip next October or so.

Tell him you could be like a girl on your boards who will be taking her son out for 8 days in 8th grade this Sept, just took him out for 4 days last September - called him in sick for 2 (which turned into 3) days this past January.

And has taken both her kids out for dayyyyyyys at a time, every year. Including the time she went with her mom for 19 days. They missed 10 days of school. I wont mention names.

Heck - so many of us will be there, I say go for it.

Ok well you have a good handle on it. You could cancel the other two vacations and book Disney and surprise DH. I am sure he would love that. Gatlinburg is pretty and the beach is nice and relaxing though. It has been a few years since we hit the beach.

My DH only goes with us to Disney every other year and slows us down when he comes too. Seriously, It is nice to have him with because those are the trips that we stop to smell the roses so to say. Then we enjoy the trips with just DS and I because we get so many more rides in.

You whine away but remember we now know that you are spending your Disney money in other locations. April 09 really isn't that far away.

It is freezing here in Massachusetts this morning, it was below 0 when I got up this morning, it's now a balmy 5 degree's....and I have a window office at work, so my office is also about 5 degree's this morning! Come on space heater, start working..please! Everytime I pick up my phone receiver I'm getting brain freezes!

Ants, I went back and looked at that picture of you doing laundry again and while I could see your hair I saw hide but nary a bit of clothing anywhere so i am supposing that your duds were in the suds too.

Wic, I am glad that your mom is on an upswing right now. It gets tough watching those we love have setbacks along the way to recovery.

Mom2Evie , Gatlinburg is almost half the way to DW from here so i am supposing it might be that, or more, from where you live?? I have been to both places and have to say that for the same amount of cash DW gives you far more bang for your buck. JMO. You only have to get your husband the rest of the way to Florida.

angwill, every trip is special, ride full or smell the roses type. I like some of both myself and the one redeeming thing about my husband is his willingness to ALWAYS go to DW and ride anything I want, whenever I want, as long as there is food in the plans somewhere.

CathrynRose, I am sure all those DW trips are extremely educational. There are some kids who can ill afford to miss one day of school but there are many more who can and should. Family time is important too.

I have the trash taken out and the yard cleared up from the last storms so I am ready for the onslaught of snow and ice expected tonight and tomorrow. It has not materialized before and I am hoping for more of the same but sure do hate to wish it on anyone else.

Next doctor's appointment is Thursday. I can think of more fun ways to spend all those big bucks.

Oh - neither of them should be missing school. Who'm I kidding? And I never hear the end of it, at Teacher Conference after Teacher Conference.

However - they continue to graduate and stay caught up. So they can kiss it.

wic0721, I love my PC. It is always available, has a fantastic memory, knows everything, caters to my every need/search and lord love that hard drive!!!

CathrynRose, speaking as a nerd from way back when that got very good grades and only missed half a day of school in my entire scholastic career I have to admit you are right. Other than being on Jeopardy or something my in school education has not stood me in good stead. I clean toilets for a living for heaven's sake.

How am I feeling? With my hands, as always. I did just paint a few square feet of wall just to see if I will like the color though. Hard part is done, starting. I just know that patch of color will spur me on even if it is just a few feet a day.
