Mods sold out free dining for August

I cancelled a FD at POR last night for 8/15 to 8/21, so that might be available for anyone looking. We decided to move up to WL this time.

Finally got CBR standard room. But we went with a room only discount instead of free dining. Since we really wanted the qsdp this time around. But CBR opened up for the discount and the free dining promo today for my dates.

I just checked and there was availability at both CBR and POFQ for Aug 15-23 for our party but king bed only because we are 2 adults and 1 child under 3 so if you have more than that there is none.

I hope it won't be packed

I was there last year for the first week of Free Dining. The crowds were moderate. What will be packed are many of the restaurants. I suggest all doing free dining to do your ADR's ASAP

They only set aside X amount of rooms for free dining. I was able to find rooms for AP rates and FL resident rates, and the general discounted rates for all of August.

The first week of free dining will be nuts. Most schools aren't back in session and a lot of people get in a last minute vacation.

Honestly, the absolute best time for free dining for us is the last week of August into the first week of Sept. (We don't go back to school until after Labor Day). While we won't be doing free dining, we will still be traveling this same week because the crowds are so low.

Hey all,

I really recommend that those of you who are trying to book mods for August call back at the 45 day mark. I'm going 8/15 and my payment was due yesterday, so that would mean that many whose vacations would have started on 8/16 might be canceling today. I would def say that if there's any chance of some mods w/ FD opening up, it will be this week and next week for August! Good luck!
