Modifying with Pin

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to call reservations to ask this question, was wanting to ask here first.

We are scheduled 7 nights at Poly Nov 28 - Dec 5. Got a great rate with a big pin discount emailed to me last winter.

We are thinking it would be best to modify our plans, add 4-5 nights at a value from Nov23/24 - Nov 28 and then change the Poly from Nov 28 - Dec 4.

My question is...If I modify by cancelling the last night at the Poly, would I still get the pin discount on the first 6 nights of our original reservation?

Any thoughts...

If there are still rooms in the appropriate category of your original reservation, you should be able to modify it by applying the PIN and cancelling the last day (assuming you have enough days to satisfy the requirements of the PIN). Otherwise, you may have to change your room type, or even your resort to apply the PIN. Each PIN has only a certain number of rooms of a particular type at a particular resort available. For example, I got a PIN after I had booked a room at CSR. There weren't any rooms at CSR available under the PIN, so I'm booked at POR instead. In another case, under a public code, I had to switch from standard to water view at CSR to take advantage of the code.

You have to be flexible with PINs and public codes.

Considering the w/o November 28th is just about sold out to capacity in all the resorts, I am not sure if there is availability to change your pin room; and then add a few extra days for the Thanksgiving weekend - they are booked solid too.

The only thing you can do is call and ask....

I called and asked. I was told by cancelling one night (Dec4) I will not lose my discount for the other nights.

I will add a second reservation at a value for the additional nights I want to stay.

I told the cm I was just asking today, and was going to wait until tomorrow morning to be sure I am making the right decision.
