Modifying from one discount to another discount

If I modified a March room only reservation to take advantage of the public/Visa discount that should hopefully be dropping soon, could I then call and modify it to get an AP discount?

I am either going to buy an AP in advance online or wait and upgrade once I get to FL.

As long as there is availability under the discount, yes. You may have to change room type, resort or dates depending on the new discount details.

My dates are fairly firm, so that might limit my choices. I should have gone with a travel agent, but I'm also enjoying the process because it lets me think about Disney a lot. Hoping for an AP discount on CSR or BC/YC (if the discount is good enough, I might splurge).
