Modifying a reservation error, Ms no help

So I am trying to add a day to my December 2025 reservation. Dec 3-10, adding 11. I keep getting an error and it just keeps saying to try again later. I called Ms today and the CM told me it was a known error not letting people modify anything after Dec 2. Well I was able to make reservations on my two other contracts with different UY and modify both of them. So I think he just blew me off, hoping it would fix itself. He told me that the system kept kicking him out of my account. Anyone have something like this happening right now? I'm calling back tomorrow and not getting off the phone until this is figured out.
 
I have not but there was a system glitch reported earlier this year that was preventing owners from booking the 31st if August…IIRC the date

For some reason it would not work. It got resolved but don’t remember how or how long it took.

Sounds like it’s the same thing happening.

I have an error with our reservation in June at VGC. Curious if your issue could be similar. What happens if you try to add a guest to your reservation? In my case I get the dwarfs before even getting to the page where you can add a guest. I also am unable to change resorts (to VDH) as it gives me an error.

So still cannot modify my reservation. I called again and talked to a supervisor who said that nothing is booked past Dec. 10 in the Beach Club inventory. He said that they cannot even pull inventory for me and that it is a known issue since the 2nd. This is nuts. Literally them hardest time of the year to book a room for DVC and I can't.
 

I've been able to modify my AKV reservations for travel after December 3 2025 without issue.
 
We finally got a resolution today. Still don't know why it would not allow a modification to the reservation. 2 CMs over the weekend told me there was nothing they could do. Today, a supervisor canceled the existing reservation, held the room back, and rebooked the 10 nights that I wanted.

So if a CM ever tells you that they cannot hold a room to rebook that is not true, a supervisor has the ability to do that. Also, keep calling and escalating. I think the CMs over the weekend were just lazy and didn't want to deal with it.

I suspect the supervisor used the same method they would use for merging reservations (just didn't have to merge). Put the room in a holding area and then rebooked it. The first line CMs you spoke to may have not had the ability to do this. Did you ask to speak to a supervisor over the weekend?

I did speak to a supervisor on Sunday and he fails there was nothing he could do. The next day a supervisor did exactly what you stated.

This exact situation happened to me a couple months ago. It was resolved the same way as yours. A supervisor cancelled, held and rebooked my reservation.
Never found out why it occurred. Of course, then I became afraid of walking future reservations. I became paranoid that they may actually be working on a way to avoid walking.
 
Happening to me right now with VGF in December. Trying to add a day to our trip and the system won't let me modify my reservation.

It's crazy walking is almost needed the first 2 weeks in December. I wish DVC would change the point charts to reflect this. I have plenty of points so I don't mind paying a couple more a night so I don't have to pay this stupid game. Last year, it took getting up every morning, waitlisting to get 5 nights because the first several days I tried Beach Club studios were sold out with seconds. Last year, Nov 28 was on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I was able to get 2 nights at Copper Creek at 7 months because they were in November. There was only a 1 pt difference and studios were available. This year Dec 1 is thy Monday after Thanksgiving so it's really bad.

I again managed to cobble together a stay the 1st week of December. Wanted WL studio, couldn’t fill the last few days. Went with AKJ standard and happy to have it in hand.

Have been booking this time for over 20 years. It’s certainly become more stressful and time consuming than I’d prefer.

as there is so much demand for both the 1st 2 weeks and the holiday period. IMO they really need to adjust the point charts to adequately address reflect the (over) popularity.

DVC might even find themselves selling some add on points in the process.

As with so much at DVC, it’s historical. When DVC started, the points chart mirrored the hotel rate chart - same seasons, same relative costs. The first two weeks of December were times of low attendance, so hotel rates were low, and so were DVC points costs. The DVC points charts stayed that way until the recent reallocation, when they became more expensive, but they’re still not as expensive as they probably need to be to discourage more members from booking then.
