Modify ADR

Hi! Does anyone know if I can modify the reservation on the same day for a different time in the same restaurant without paying the cancellation fee for my original ADR?

I haven’t personally done it, but from multiple posts on here that I’ve read recently you can modify an existing ADR for the same restaurant with no penalty.

We did that a couple of times during our last trip in May. It was always in the morning for lunch/dinner ADR so I don't know if there's a cut off (perhaps 2 hours before or even 1 hour), but we had no issues.
