Modest swimwear

I can't see the link (on my phone) but if it's a typical modest bathing suit it's fine. I wear one and wore it on my last cruise with no issues.

The link requires Java. I was able to open it, and I really think it would be ok. For those who can't see it, the swim suit looks like a typical rash-guard shirt, knee-length leggings/surfing/wetsuit, and a mid-thigh skirt. The skirt is long for a bathing suit skirt, but I don't think it's unreasonable.

There are some Muslim women at my Y who wear similar garments. It doesn't look strange to me.

HTH!

Sorry I fixed the link. It had sent through iPhone in it that's why.

I have seen people in regular full long t-shirts and swim dresses so don't this as a problem.

Heck, I have seen people thrown in fully dressed LOL!!!

Ok great. I used to wear shorts over my suit, Long ones, then sit by the pool and at the last second before going in take them off. It's really annoying to be self conscious like that. I love this swim suit I can go in and out without worry or embarrassment..i much prefer my legs to stay covered

I wore compression shorts (spandex that came just about the knees) and a t-shirt on the Aqua Duck. Thought it was better than getting harpooned.

I have a couple of Burkhinis that I have bought in the Middle East as I burn very quickly even with the strongest sunscreen and I have worn them on the ships with no problems.

I just wanted to say super cute bathing suit. They can't say anything. Muslim women typically wear suits that go to the ankles and wrist. They don't know why you're wearing a suit with more coverage. They wouldn't dare say a word.

This is actually some thing like I have been looking for. I have recently become extremely self conscious about my thighs for some reason. I was looking to make something like shorts to put under a swim dress. I love the skirt idea with the knee length shorts. I doubt I will get in the pool much on the ship, but I wanted something for beach and no-beach activites at CC. This type of outfit would be perfect.

I wear a long sleeved "swim shirt" from Lands End or long sleeve rashguards from Athleta - totally modest. Coolibar also has lots of full coverage swimwear: long sleeves, capri swim pants and so on. The main goal, I believe, is full-on protection from the sun but it sure doubles as modest swimwear.

I wouldn't even bat an eye if you came to the pool wearing the outfit in the link! Go for it!

When wet, my swim dress goes almost to my knees (yea, I'm short) and I always wear a shirt after getting a bad burn in St Thomas in the water. I almost look like I'm dressed going into the water. No one said anything or even looked twice.

I hate to show my legs. My family laughs at me I wear capris only in summer never shorts no matter how hot. I would love to get this where is it from?

Cool! I was just looking at suits like this last night. The older I get the more comfortable and covered I like to be, and love the fact that I won't have to worry about too much sunscreen!

I have an odd question though for those females who wear rash guards. What do you wear underneath? I need some support so am wondering if I'd wear it over a bathing suit (seems hot though) or should get a bikini top (which I've never owned)...

I like long-sleeved rashguards - I usually wear it over my normal swim top, either tankini top or bikini top or my one-piece swimsuit. It's not hot as long as it's wet - the air evaporates the water as it dries, leaving you nice and cool. When I get hot, I just hop in the water for a few minutes, then go back to sitting under my umbrella with a book!

I do like the skirt/capris! I have board shorts I usually wear over my bottoms and just take the off before I get in the water. I don't usually bother putting them back on unless I'm headed to lunch or back to the ship, though - just cover up with a towel, which keeps me modest and helps keep my electronic reader from getting wet! :rotfl2:

My girls have rash guards and you just wear it over any swimsuit.
