Well.. my friend just found out this morning that she is getting a divorce and she is pregnant with triplets (2 girls and a boy) and she has 2 older girls (4 and 6). So I thought I need to help her as much as I can.
As for what she needs... a little of everything.

I am past the baby stage for clothing but would love to send you any coupons or discounts I find. I have triplet neices and know what it is all about. My ex-sister in law had her hands full. She did receive state support because there incomes dropped after she couldn't work any more. So she was able to get formula. Tell her not to be afraid to apply for help. I know there are alot of people out there that abuse the system but there are alot of good hard working people that need help temporarily to get back on there feet. PM me with your address and I will save as much as I can. When is she due so I can watch dates.

You should see if there is a freecycle in your area. It's a Yahoo group. Sign up and you can post things you want to give away or things you want. Everything has to be 100% free, no trading or buying allowed. Some people give really good stuff, and since it's all local you can just go pick it up! I'll bet there are tons of people in your area giving away bay/kids stuff that could help her out alot.

Here's a link to all the southern states and the freecycle groups in there area. While you don't state where you (or your friend) are located, there are many, many groups in the state of Georgia and if she has nothing, it might be worthwhile to look for the closest one or 2 and be willing to drive to obtain the items. If you scroll down about 1/3 of the page you'll see all the Georgia groups. If you decide to join up with the group, you'd need to provide specifics on what she is looking for (ie triple stroller or 2 highchairs, etc..).

Also-craigslist is another great option & they have a great listings in the Atlanta area and outskirts as well.

I would have you friend contact a local mothers of twins or mothers of multiples group to see if anyone there could either borrow/loan, give or sell her their old equipment at a discount price. They would also be a great source of information about company contacts to obtain free baby items. I do know that many major companies offer free items when you send the proof of a multiple birth.

Check out local consignment shops and thift stores. Watch for garage sales and even sales at Big Lots. If she just found out this morning that she is getting divorced (did he make the decision to leave her or what...I can't imagine just finding out that you are getting divorced) then she needs to consult a lawyer to be certain that she will be covered as far as health insurance & to be certain of the custody of her children.

Update: Well she got a phone call today from her husband's lawyer stating that he is taking her to court for custody of the two older girls.
To top it off he wants to keep the house and the cars. They had gotten her a new car for when the babies arrived to be on the safe side...he now says he will buy her a "nice" used car.
This makes me SO mad!

Lawyers tell you to go for everything so that there is some middle ground to bargin for, I'm sure her lawyer will have her asking for everything too. Still it must be hard to go through that when your pregnant, good thing she a good friend to lean on.

Her and the kids are staying at my house. He kicked them out and said if they didn't leave he was going to bring other women into the house... He has a really good job and is an attorney so he has a good chance. He took all the money out of the bank and he claims he didn't take it but she obviously didn't......

Your friend needs some great legal advice and representation pronto. although if her husband kicked her out that would not look good for him especially if she had to take the children with her. the judge will look at that im sure. im not sure about ga. but in south carolina you cant be kicked out of your house, if you are married or even just living together and you have established a residence together she has just as much right to the house and the car as he does no matter whose name all of the property is in. have her check the laws of your state and county as well.. good luck

hi! i live in roswell! and i have a daughter that is 5 months old. I have a infant car seat that would be good for a boy and I have one for a girl that I'm currently using but, I will be done with in about a month.It's the pink graco one they have at Toyrus.Also, I have a ton of Avent bottles that I never used ( they leak on me but, some people love them) I would have had more but, my sil just went through my baby stuff. anyway if you pm me I will give you my number and maybe we can meet.

Piece of advice for your friend...get her own attorney! Don't let her go through her jerk-husband's attorney...she will get screwed! I know there is probably a lot of personal stuff to this story and it is none of our business... but my $0.02 is that her husband is really low...filing for divorce when she is pg with triplets (a high-risk pregnancy to be sure!). Then to threaten taking custody of her older children...ACK! Don't even get me started...

Okay - sorry - I am just so mad at your friend's husband!

Anyway - I have both boy and girl clothes that I can sort through and mail to you or her...I would LOVE to help!

Pay no attention to that price. As I said, I will help you out if you can get the stuff or have someone else get it. Obviously, it is too large of a load to ship, so it definitely has to be picked up somehow.
