I have stayed at Coronado Springs twice and their theme pool slide is pretty good.

How is the theme pool of Port Orleans Riverside and do they have a water slide?

How is the slide at Caribbean Beach?

I have 2 five year olds who liked Coronado Springs , but I would like to try something else.

Any input would be appreciated.

The pool at POR is nice and cute but not as impressive as CSR. It is on an island with trees and a water sluice that pour water into the pool in two different places. There is a island in the pool with rocks and a dirty sink (Whatever) squirting water. The slide is decent with a couple cirves in it but not as long as at CSR.
The pool at Caribbean Beach is themed to an old pirate fort and is neat looking though not really big. It has a crumbling bridge that water pours out of and another part of the fort with a very small slide.

The slide is small at CBR but there is always a line waiting to use it by adults and kids.

I have pictures of the pool but not the slide on my web site and album listed below.

CSR has the best pool of the moderates but my kids loved CBR much more.

My daughters, aged 5 & 8 at the time, loved the Port Orleans French Quarter pool with its serpent slide. We loved the resort because it's smaller than CBR, not much walking to pool, food court, no matter where your room is.

It's funny - we are staying in AKL concierge and I am so excited because we are finally staying in a deluxe. However, my DD (9) just asked me yesterday "Can we go to CBR again for one day?" I said - sure we can drive by - and she said - no can we go to the pool - "I loved that pool, especially the slide and waterfall." I personally didn't even remember that there was a waterfall. LOL

Kids - gotta love em! I think she would have been just as happy with the CBR for the week - although I think once she gets there, she'll also love AKL.

For those that posted that the CBR slide was small - how does this compare to the AKL slide? I have seen posts that AKL was "small" and I am preparing myself, but I didn't think CBR slide was really that small - so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised! Anyone who can compare the two?

The slide at the AKL pool is a bit longer than the one at CBR by maybe one third. It is not super themed though and one of the small drawbacks to this pool.

my now almost 16yo daughter still says the CBR has one of the best slides....
it is short...but is more of a drop...something the other slides lack...you can build up speed even though its a short distance...
My daqughter hated the slide at AKL...although it was longer...it was much slower...and as said before...lacked themeing...

Though the Pool at CBR is small...it has an unbeliveble theming...and is great for all kids...

The pool at POR was nice too...but when you look at the overall resort...I believe it lacks compared to CBR...

CSR has one of the best pools and slides on WDW property, let alone of the mods. You can check out pics at my CSR website below.
